Spotlight for Donna

Happy Thursday! Hope you've have been having a fantastic week. We've had some crazy weather here in So Cal. Yesterday there was lighting and thunder with some rain in the mountains and a gorgeous sunset. Reminds me of the sunsets at Sunset beach on the North Shore of Oahu. Miss those gorgeous sunsets. Other than that, my week has been pretty busy with work and softball practice. I did find time to make a couple cards though.
The first card I have to share was made for my co-worker Donna. Today is her birthday and I thought Spotlight Anya would be perfect for her card. I used Kim Yu's awesome layout for my card. I am so digging this layout and have used it for another card which I will post in a bit. I used dp from the same K&Company paper pad from my last post, so love this paper pad. It's the same sheet and it's double sided, so had to showcase both sides. I used some glittered card stock as a border and used the same Recollections border punch. I lightly sponged the border with some rocket red gold brilliance ink for some subtle pop. It adds a little something to the kraft paper. If you can't see the sentiment on the top it says "SURPRISE!" which I wrote free-hand. Here's Donna with the card. Isn't she cute?
I just noticed that my card has all the elements that the DT from Tamiko's is using for today's Thursday Teasers Buttons, Bling and Brads! Too funny!
This is such a bright and fun card, I hope it makes her smile.
I'll be back later today with another post for another friend's birthday which also happens to be today. Mahalo for stopping by. TTFN! ;)

Supplies will be updated at a later time.

From Donna (the birthday girl)
Hi Leanne, Thank you for the cutest birthday card ever. I love it and it completely made my day. Geesh, even your writing looks like it’s from a stamp.
Love it!
