A Fat Free Boba-licious Bday Card

Hello!

Wow it's been so long since I've visited blogland.  I hope you've all been doing well. Apologies for not being able to stop by.  Since coming back from the La-La Land Craft Retreat my days have been super busy with work stuff and my nights with craft projects so posting and visiting have been put on the back burner until today.  I do have a fun card to share with you today.

This is the birthday card I made for my friend/co-worker, Delaram.  A little background on the card...  Delaram LOVES boba milk tea.  There is a local donut shop by our office that sells the one she really likes and at one point she was going every day and sometimes twice in one day!  Now a days she's limiting herself to 2 a week, unless it's been a stressful day.  So in honor of her love of boba milk tea I created the card above using MFT dies, and the cutest boba milk tea image (TGF Frappi Anya with a few alterations of the cup & removal of the bow) plus a TGF cutting die.  I also was able to use the cool embossing folder on the green cardstock, which made the perfect background for the card.

To create the boba milk tea I used the Die-namices LLD Cool cup dies. First cutting them out of white cardstock, coloring them, then cutting the same out of transparency paper to make it look like the actual cups.  I added the handwritten tags to represent the days of the week and the dark brown circles on the bottom of the cup represent the boba.  On the inside of the card I handwrote, "Hope you have a fat-free BOBA-licious birthday!"  Needless to say she loved it after she figured out what was in the cups.  (Yay! hahaha!)

Well that's all for now, hoping to stop by to visit some of my favorite blogs soon, I know you've been creating up a storm and I can't wait to see what you've been up to.  Have a wonderful Saturday friends!!  Thank you for stopping by!

KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #60

Happy Aloha Friday!!

There's a new challenge over at the Aloha Friday Challenge Blog, we hope you'll join us!

Perfect Pair/Friendship
See the rules tab for more details. Entries close at 5AM (Hawaii Time) on Friday, November 20th. Winners will be announced the Sunday after the challenge closes.

Please stop by the blog to see all the wonderful projects from the team.
Here's my card featuring Star Friends from Stitch Bear.

This image is super sweet.  It comes with that sentiment and I merged them together.  I used some softer colors here and lots of white.  After coloring with Copics I fun-cut them out and popped them on to a doily.  Adding the rest was super easy, mostly using a lot of my stash.  The stars were cut with a Little B nesting die.

Ok now it's your turn!  Reminder you have two weeks to play, just make sure you check our rules before you upload.  Mahalo for stopping by!  Have a terrific weekend!!

Many Thanks Allen!

Hello!

Today's share is another Thank you card for another co-worker who is going on a new adventure.  I'm really going to miss Allen, but I wish him the best.  He worked in our Information Systems department and we talked almost everyday, whether via phone, in person or email.  He was always helpful and always happy.  Here's the card I made...

The computer components are from Mama Elephant   Love how an altered (panda) Bobo is peeking over.  The dp is from an old DCWV stack. It was perfect for my card!  Turned this into an easel calendar card too...

Kept the inside super simple, using an extra thanks and handwriting many...

We celebrated at a Taiwanese restaurant with the whole IS department.  It was a lot of fun.. I wish him well at his new job and best wishes for the new adventure he is going on.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you're having a great day!  I'll be MIA for a few days so will stop by when I can.  Take care!!

KBD Spotlight - November

Hello!

Today is the first Monday of November and I am spotlighting this Fall tag on the Kitty Bee Designs blog.

This cutie is Bunch of Carrots Heart Bun illustrated by our awesome artist, Ruth Johnson.  I thought it would be fun to make a tag for my spotlight.  I don't make very many tags but when I do, I usually like to make them big and fancy.  I think I accomplished that here.  I used several dies from MFT, Taylored Expressions and My Creative Time.  The papers are from Bo Bunny, Neenah, Hanko Designs and scraps from my stash.  I hand wrote the sentiment inside the banner and layered another color of the same banner behind it.  I fun-cut the image and the hearts (yikes!) then popped Heart Bun into the center of the circles.  Topped it off with a triple bow made out of  sheer ribbon and a die cut leaf.

This tag is ready to decorate a gift bag, mason jar, or even a card.  The possibilities are endless.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a fabulous November!!

Many Thanks Gary!!

Hello!

Hope you all had a nice and safe Halloween.  In my area we had no trick-or-treaters, so now we have tons of candy.  Luckily we got the good kind, bad thing is now we have to eat it.  Well if anything I can make more treat bags and use up that candy.  hahaha!  Welcome to November!!  It's officially Christmas season!!  Well at least that's what one of those funny pictures on IG stated.  Um, no we still have one more special holiday to celebrate before we should think about Christmas and that's Thanksgiving.  So glad I'm sharing this card today.

Let's get to it.  I made this Thank you card for one of my co-worker's who left the company for a new adventure.  Here's the front the of card featuring a slightly altered Bobo bear from Sister Stamps.

I wanted to use this image but needed it to be a panda.  I used some black ink to color the eyes, ears and body to create the panda.  Then using a white gel pen added some highlights.  Love how it turned out.  The background paper is from a really old DCWV paper pad and the thanks was cut from a Paper Smooches die.  Here's the inside of the card which I turned into a easel/calendar card.

Thought it would be nice to send him off with something he could put on his desk at his new office, or leave at home.  I couldn't leave it at that, I added another card to the bottom so I could write a message inside.  Here is what I came up with...

Keeping it totally CAS was my goal here.  I used a Mama Elephant cloud border die on the same paper and cut one more thanks sentiment.  I hand-wrote "many" above the thanks sentiment and it was done.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday, I've got some cards I need to finish so I'll be busy for the rest of the day.  I'm not complaining.  :D
