Happy Easter - Part 3

I'm back for a third installment of the Easter chronicles. hahaha!!  Just kidding, well yes this is the 3rd installment but these are not chronicles.. I know I'll stop now..

It turned out to be a beautiful day in sunny Los Angeles so that means a lot of people are probably out and about with their families enjoying the sunshine and nice weather. Hope you're all having a really nice day too.

Here's a quick little post of another pillow box featuring a slightly altered Summer Fumi.

I gave her some bunny ears in honor of today's special day.  I also used this really pretty Easter egg patterned paper to make it more festive.  The doily is from Bo Bunny and the sentiments are computer generated and yes I fussy cut them.  I think I'm getting the hang of the boxes, and I think I've already gotten my moneys worth. hahaha.

I have one last Easter related post which will make it the 4th installment.  (hehehe)  I hope this project and all the others will make you smile.  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Happy Easter - Part 2

(This is my 2nd post today, if you'd like to see the first post just scroll down)

Hello!
Hope you're all enjoying some fun Easter Sunday antics. I'm back to share more of my Easter projects. Here are more pillow box treats. These were made for the co-workers...

Same concept, with a little more added details.  Instead of a Prima rose I added some Easter eggs and a bigger doily.  Here are some close ups...  First up is Moon who looks like he's leaping to get the egg...

Next up is Jade  rolling around in the grass and look!  She's juggling an egg, must be from the circus... hahaha...

This next shot shows the smaller treats I made.  I used some older papers from DCWV, a Stampin' Up scalloped circle punch and more SS bunnies...

I have one more post of some more Easter projects, hope you're not too bored to come back!! ^.^
See you later!

Happy Easter - Part 1

Happy Easter Sunday everyone!

Popping in to share some Easter themed projects I made.  Using the We R Memory Keepers Pillow box punch board made it super easy and quick to put these together.  I've seen these punch boards around blogland and wanted to see how good they were.  I have to say that you really need to have precise alignment skills for the perfect end result.

Here are the treats I made using a new doily die, Sister Stamps bunnies, beautiful designer papers from Prima Marketing and some strategically placed sentiments anchored by some Prima roses.  I also used my WOS clear glitter brush pen to add a little bit more sparkle.  I guess these would be considered a little bit shabby chic, or at least girly.  Here are the ones I made for the stamp camp ladies whom I got together with last Sunday...

I used 4 of the bunnies/rabbits from the Sister Stamp line as they were easy to color, cut out and were small enough for each box.  The first two are the Year of the Rabbit from the zodiac series...  I added a little smile to one of them...

Next up is the adorable Daba, I always think he's giggle about something, wish I knew what it was. lol

Next up is Moon from the last release, read all about him here

And lastly is Jade, this is one adorable little bunny, read all about her here.

Inside each treat box I filled it with some individually wrapped Hi-Chew candies.  I also wanted to share a quick tip on cutting those intricate dies.  I'm not sure where I saw this tip but it's seriously awesome!!  Use wax paper in between the die and the paper!!  You'll never want to be without this inexpensive piece of paper if you want to cut those intricate dies.  It's like cutting butter!!  hahaha.. Try it and let me know if you got the same result I did.  I wish I could remember where I saw it.

Last Sunday I spent a fun-filled day of crafting and catching up with the stamp camp ladies...

You might recognize some of these ladies, Kathy from Pixie Boutique and Linda from Life of a Girlie Girl.  Linda was kind enough to make us Mimosas, yep that's what the red cups are for. hahaha.. They were delicious and no there were no crafting accidents. (hahaha)  Also in this picture is Jenny from Sesame Bijoux, Angie & hiding in the background is Jen.  Kathy had a project for us to make, a really cute Easter themed card.  Here's mine using Harumi & a cute Easter egg chick from Stampin' Up.  Stop by her blog and check out the one she made.

Ok, I think I'll stop here and post the rest later in the afternoon.  Gotta spread out my posts or else you'll get bored.  lol...

See you later!!

Easter treats

Hey everyone!
Are you enjoying your Saturday?  Hope so, I think I'm going to have a craft session with one of my friends today, but we'll see how it goes.  Hope you get to do something fun today even if it's just lounging around.

I walked in to Michael's the other day with a purpose in mind to buy some navy blue cs.  Just navy cs!  Well of course the first thing I see when I walk in are these really cute containers that look like miniature paint cans.  They were clear and had an Easter theme to them.  Dude!  They were sooo cute I had to get them.  Yes had to!  hahaha!  I thought it would look so cute with some of the Easter themed candies & jelly beans and possibly a really cute image & some pretty ribbons attached.  Definitely not a lot of work at all.  So there I go buying a dozen of these.  I knew the perfect image that would not take me too long to color and went to work on them when I got home.

Here's how I altered (a little bit) for my co-workers with a little help from a cute bunny named, Daba.

I went to Target and found some Reese's pieces that were egg shaped and pastel colored & jelly beans.  At the end I was running out of time so I only colored parts of Daba, from Sister Stamps, and left him mostly white.  I made 14 total and gave them to my co-workers who were really surprised and happy too.  What a wonderful find and such a nice little gift especially with a cute image and some pretty ribbon.

Before I go I wanted to congratulate Mary J, you are the random winner of my 500th post!  Please shoot me an email, quikhonu34(at)yahoo(dot)com, with your snail mail and I'll get your RAK in the mail this week.  Thanks everyone for participating and for the lovely comments!!

Well I hope you all enjoyed my share. Happy Easter to all and blessings to you and your families!  Mahalo for stopping by today!!
O!! And yes I did find the navy cs I originally went in there for!  hahaha!!

Hugs,
Leanne
