Happy Birthday Christy!!

Happy Sunday everyone and Happy first day of April!

Today is Lollipop Crafts DT sistah, Christy's birthday!  So we'd love to give her a shout out as well as share some special birthday wishes for her.  Hop on over to the Lollipop Crafts blog to share in the celebration and then hop on over to Christy's blog to leave her some birthday love.

Here's the card I made for Christy, she's going to be receiving it late, because this girl here is a procrastinator and just finished it a bit ago!!  Well hopefully it will be worth the wait.

I finally printed and colored up this cutie pie, Thank you, from Saturated Canary.  Krista has some AWE-fully cute images and it was really hard to choose a few (but I did).  Thought this little gal was pretty versatile and could be used for multiple occasions.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut her out.  The papers are DCWV and matted with dark brown cs.  I used a MS flower punch and two circle punches from SU.  The sentiment is from TGF, Blush Bonnie, which I stamped with Deep Lagoon Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.

I hope Christy likes the card and doesn't mind that it's going to be a little late.  :)  Hope you don't fall for any tricks or pranks today, as it is April Fool's day.  I'm going to try to stay home so that I don't get caught!  hahaha!!   Mahalo for stopping by today, wishing you all a lovely Sunday!

Mystery Monday with Scrapperbug2002

Happy Monday everyone!!  Hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to this week.  Today over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog, my DT bud, Tasha, is challenging all of us to case Scrapperbug2002's wonderfully wintry card featuring Miss Snow Anya. 

Pretty cool wintry card yea?!  I loved the colors and the fun layout.  And her coloring with Prismas is outstanding!  Great pick this week.  To see what the rest of the DT created for this week's case, pop on over to the FFC blog.  For my share, I made a card trying to follow the layout and also the colors.  I chose a darker blue, but the rest seems to be there.   Here's my case featuing Blush Bonnie.

The patterned papers are from two separate DCWV stacks.  Colored Bonnie with Copics and yes, I altered her boots to match the boots Miss Snow Anya is wearing.  The key is a die cut from ATS C.C. Cutters Key & Lock.  The sentiment comes with Blush Bonnie and for my card I stacked them.  I also used the splotchy stamp to give it a fun look.

Lastly, I just wanted to say "Mahalo" for all the lovely comments you've all been leaving me.   I apologize if I haven't gotten to visit, but it's been so busy for me not only craft wise, but work wise too.   As we all know life outside of blogland can get a bit hectic and there are just not enough hours in the day to get all you want done completed.   I'm trying to concentrate on some projects and hopefully once work slows down I can also get back to visiting you all.   But I want to say Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to leave me special messages.   I read each and every one of them and each time I do, it brings me much joy.   Also wanted to let you know I will be random drawing for my Marci & Luka give-away tomorrow, 8/28, so if you haven't left me a comment on this post, do it today!!   Planning a couple of candy give-aways this week.   One for my birthday and the other for my blogaversary.   So look for more details this week.

I've been having so much fun with the new Blush society images that I decided to use Bonnie again.  I colored her in soft blues and greens.  Kept the card the same colors and threw in some dark kraft.  So hope you like my case of Paula's card...

MM - Blushin' with Beanscrapandsheep

Hello Friends!  Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and that you are rested and ready for another week of fun challenges with us at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  I hope so cause this week we are starting off with a cool Mystery Monday Case with 1LuvnMama.  She chose a familiar face from the gallery and the card she chose is pretty cool.  This week we are case'ing Beanscrapandsheep!  Here is her vintage card:

How cool does this card look?!!  Way!!  Love the vintage feel and the use of the pearls and the clocks somehow work.  This is a great pick for this week.  To see what the other ladies created pop on over to the FFC blog by clicking HERE.  I am enjoying the new Blush girls so for my card I chose to use Blush Bonnie.  I kept the card vintage, but with pops of a sunset color.  I hope I did her card justice.


I inked her in brown and colored her using some different brown tones and oranges to change it up a bit.  I actually love the end result.  The fun printed paper with the pops of those oranges accented with the dark kraft and dark brown papers create a pretty dramatic feel to me.   Her hair is also a different color for me, and I love it!  I paper pieced her dress with this awesome dark brown Stardream cs I forgot I had and wet embossed it using copper powder to show the dress details.  For the curly cues I used my teammate's, Tasha, favorite embellishment, Viva color pen in Copper and just made my own pattern.  I wrote in the sentiment along the circle edge, and it is the same sentiment that comes with Bonnie.
