Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy May 1st everyone!
Today I have three special people I'd like to wish a Happy Birthday to.  My mom, and my two friends Michele & Jesse.  I'm very lucky to have them in my life.  I made these Asian influenced cards to help celebrate their special day.  I hope they like them.

For my mom I chose Laker colors (purple & gold) and Miyono from Sister Stamps.  I also borrowed some fans from Yoshimi who is also from Sister Stamps.

For her card I created a polaroid card.  The white part (Neenah) was scrap from another project that I decided to keep.  I stamped the sentiments from the new All About Mom Sentiments (AmyR) with black tuxedo Memento ink and dusty concord DI.  Love all the fun sentiments that you can use and all can be found on this set.  She is stamped on Xpress-It paper and colored with Copics.  The washi paper and purple Tsumugi cs is from Hanko.

For my friend Michele I picked an orange/gold with black theme and used Yoshimi from Sister Stamps.

She's stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Xpress-It paper, colored with Copics and the frame is the lacey square Spellbinder which I distress inked with crushed olives and honey DI.  Stamped some flowers in TBMI in the corners of the frame to give it a fun flair and to tie in with the fans.  The flowers were stained with the same DI and then punched out.  Inside each one I wrote a letter to spell out HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  The black cs (Recollections) was dry embossed with the Asian themed sakura folder from Cuttlebug.  It was matted on to gold cs (Stardream) and then matted on to the white card (Neenah).

For Jesse I chose Katsura, but wiped away the fish in the kite and wrote in Happy Birthday.

I used the reverse wonky rectangles and kraft cardstock for the main image.  Embossed dark brown cardstock with another Asian embossing folder.  Colored him in reds and dark grays.  Lastly I wrapped a kraft colored cord around the center and I'm liking that it looks like the banner is tied by it.  I found a chinese coin stamp and stamped around the image and as you can see I also distressed inked inside with Vintage photo DI.

Sending Happy Birthday wishes to my mom, Michele and Jesse and to anyone else that is celebrating their birthday today.  May it be blessed and wonderful.

Mahalo for stopping by, have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Hugs,
Leanne

WOW Leanne, you did a fantabulous (made up my own word..hee-hee) job on these 3 cards. I gather your mom is a Lakers fan. How cute. I'm sure she and your two friends will treasure your cards. Enjoy your day.
