Lollipop Crafts #66 Spotlight

Hey everyone!!
It's really good to be back and sharing another crafty creation with you.  Today is spotlight day for us at Lollipop Crafts.  This week our sponsor is the amazing Meljen's Designs.  Check out the Lollipop Crafts blog today for Team T's spotlight showcase using some cute Meljen's Designs images.

Here's a little tidbit on our sponsor:
Meljen's Designs is a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical digital images inspired by her kids and family. The Meljen's Designs store officially launched on April 1 and is steadily growing!   Meljen's Designs has new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog.  For our challenge #66, make a Valentine's day card, Meljen's is offering up 4 digis from the store.  Can't wait to see some amazing Valentine's day cards linked up to our post by YOU!

I decided to play along with this week's challenge theme.  Make a Valentine's day card.  As you can tell my card is a different kind of Valentine's day card.  Not your traditional sort of valentine with reds, pinks, etc; but still represents that special day.  I used Turtle's Little Star because it's so darn cute and I love turtles!!  Melissa's version of turtles is so up my alley.  Super cute face and love the fun details.  This image called for some blues and greens and well an under water theme.  So I went super simple and used a really pretty dp from the Whimsy DCWV paper pad.

The paper had so many beautiful details I didn't want to add too much more, but had to throw in some hearts and those computer generated sentiments as this is a Valentine's day card.   It kind of looks like they are on a search for some very rare flowers that only grow in the ocean. ;)  Printed out the image and cut it out with a Spellbinder circle.  I printed it out 3 times.  Why?  So I could create an underwater scene with a paper stencil and Distress inks, color up the image and layer parts of the turtle & starfish to give them dimension.

Alrighty, you still have time to link up your Valentine's day card to our blog and remember the winner gets a pick of 4 free digis to choose from the Meljen's Designs store and 3 of you will be featured in our top 3.  How cool is that?  Way!!

Mahalo for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your week, it's Friday tomorrow!!
