Lilo's Fun Friday #18

Happy Friday everyone!!  Woo Hoo!!  It's been one of those kinda blah weeks for me, but the weekend is lookin' up.  Can't wait to get home from work today to start the relaxing.  What do you have planned for this weekend?  I know I'll get some crafting in with my buddy Renate and hopefully catch some zzzzs in there some where.  :)

This should be a fairly short one today because the card itself is definitely CAS.  It might not look it but it really is.  (lol)  Made this card for a friend.  I hope she likes it and takes some inspiration from it.  Using Sister Stamp, Miyako, and 2 gorgeous Yuzen washi paper from Hanko Designs here is my share for LFF #18, hope you like.

Ta-da!  This doesn't look like it, but I only used the washi paper and Miyako here.  That paper is so dramatic and really pretty it really did not need anything other than a cute image.  I thought it would be fun to cut the top corner and used my new Fiskars border punch to add a fun accent.  The other washi paper is one I have used in the past, and it worked really well in the corner.  Colored Miyako to match the oranges and golds on the sakuras.  After fussy cutting her I popped her up with pop dots.  No sentiment this time, thought this could be used for any occasion.

Well that's all for me today.

Just a quick note on some new release news I saw around blogland:
  1. New release previews for Sister Stamps #6 started yesterday so make sure to "hop" on over to the Sister Stamp blog and read how you can win some really cute images.
  2. The Greeting Farm blog is also showcasing a new line today, so make sure to head on over, who knows you might get lucky and win some cuteness.
Alrighty, time for me to sign off.  Mahalo for stopping by and for your lovely comments.  Have a terrific weekend!!!

Hugs,
Lilo

this is sooooo pretty! your coloring matches so perfectly with the papers! love washi paper but so gosh darn expensive. BTW, i bought my clear cardstock from papertrey ink. it's just acetate that some office supply stores may have but might be difficult to find since it's kind of old school. we used to use those for overhead projectors at school but now they've got fancier stuff that doesn't use acetate.

Stunning card Leanne! Your right, it doesn't need anything else but a cute image and Miyako is so beautifully colored! Love how you punched the corner there…I'll have to remember that!
