Pajama Party

Hello!
I'm playing along with the Farm Fresh Monday Funday #11 challenge - Boys ONLY!!  Love when it's about boys, not sure why, I guess cause there's not too many cards with boys on them.  Girls are just too cute!  But there are cute boy images, just gotta want to grab the boys stamped images instead of the girl stamped ones.  hahaha!
My card was inspired by the fabulous Amy Young and her cute pajama clad little Anya.  If you haven't seen her card click here , you must!!  It's so darn cute and very clever.  Here's my all boy pajama party card featuring some Wild Sprouts.

Now it's definitely CAS.  I used the same patterned paper for each of their pjs, just used Copics to give them different colors.  The original color of the paper is actually the back drop.  As you can see I did a few swaps.  I used the dudes from the Roll Call kit (Dylan, Jeremy & Paul).  The outfits are one stamp and that is from a retired TGF clothes set.  Hopefully Marie will come out with more, these are actually pretty fun to dress up the images.  I thought it was cool how using a marker could create three different outfits for the same paper.  Thanks Amy for the inspiration!!

Alrighty, time to sign off, darn this week is blowing by so fast!!  Hopefully you are all wrapping up your Christmas shopping and crafting.  Me, I'm trying, but it doesn't seem like the list is getting any shorter! Aiya!  hahaha!!  Anyhoos, see you later!

Mahalo for stopping by!

Leanne

MM with..........Graceybaby!!

Hello everyone,
Today at the Farm Fresh challenge blog, our Sparkle chose Graceybaby to case for the Mystery Monday challenge.  YAY!!  Her card is so cute and makes you smile.  Love Grace's diversity of colors and how she pulls everything together.

Created by Grace O. - TGF image Stamping Anya

To see how the design team cased Grace's card, click HERE.  You'll find lots of fun inspiration over there.  For my card I used the adorable Dylan from the Roll Call kit.  My friend's son is turning 1 and today he is having his first birthday party.  I used the USC colors (cardinal & gold) because my friend is a USC fanatic, he's also a graduate of that school.  I added in a bit of baby blue to match the baby blue eyes I colored in on Dylan.  No, it's not because baby blue is part of the UCLA (blue & gold) colors. LOL!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!  LOL!

Happy Birthday - TGF image Dylan from Roll Call kit
There's my Copic colored balloons again.  Well of course they're there.  It's a birthday card after all.  hehehe.  I altered the number on Dylan's jersey by wiping away the 31 and hand drawing in the 1.  I really love how this turned out.  I think the baby blue adds the perfect touch to break up all the reds and yellows.

Here's what I did on the inside for fun:

I think the stars look like the Carl's Jr. logos..  LOL!  Wasn't meant to be that way, hopefully I'll be the only one to point that out.  hehehe...

Alrighty, it's your turn to play along and case Miss Grace.  Can't wait to see the results.

Big hugs to you all.  Have a wonderful week!!  Mahalo for stopping by!  :)

Hugs,
Leanne

Mystery Monday with Rimna!!

Happy Monday fabulous friends!

Hope everyone had a great weekend, feeling refreshed and ready for some fun challenges this week.  Today of course is Mystery Monday at the FFC blog and our host this week is my talented friend, 1LuvnMama.  She chose this fantastic card to case by a fellow TGF Farmer from the last team, Rimna

Love this card, so elegant and vintage.  I decided to play as close to it as possible switching out a few of the elements.

I picked CC Piper for my card and used E40 & 41 to outline her, for her eyes I used B23.  The papers are all scraps from various DCWV stacks.  Used broken china and weathered wood to distress parts of the papers and also to stamp the splotchys.  The sentiments are from two different stamps from the Roll Call kit.  Punched out two MS butterflies and stamped and distressed them with a Stampendous stamp & broken china distress inks.   Okie dokie, your turn!

Don't forget! You now have two ways to play! You can either CASE the card OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Meaning that you can make the same style of card, use the same colors, etc, just as long as we can tell that you got your ideas from the showcased card.

The Mystery Monday contest runs until Sunday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.

The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF single stamp of choice, so good luck!

Please post your cards in the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays > Rimna

Mahalo for stopping by and don't forget to have a great day!

Hugs,
Lilo

FFF - School pictures

Happy Friday everyone!!

Hope you all have had a wonderful week and are looking forward to a weekend chock full of fun, crafting, relaxing or sleep.  For me, I'll be going on a hike (yikes), get some crafting in and hopefully sneak in some sleep and relaxing time.  We shall see.  Let me know what plans you have for the weekend.

Today over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog we're going back... Back to school that is. (hehe) Yep, it's THAT time of year again.  You know the one: new clothes, new shoes and new....school supplies!  Yup, for most of us it's back to school time again here very soon (or already!) so this week for FFF we've got a school challenge: "2 Cool 4 School"!  Show us your best school-related projects, either for students or teachers, doesn't matter.

For my project I had to case my friend Elise's frame of her Roll Call kit kids that she has hanging up in her cubicle at work.  She created a super cute frame with all the kids inside and it reminded me of when I was in Elementary school and the times when we would take our school pictures and then go outside to take a class picture.  Although I didn't use all of the kids from the Roll Call kit, I did use quite a few and a few other familiar faces.  I colored all of the kids months ago and was waiting for just the right moment to use them.  This was the perfect time.  Now there are going to be quite a few pictures so please bare in mind that this might be a lengthy post.  Mostly just pictures so hopefully you won't get too bored.

Here we go with Miss Anya's 3rd Grade class from TGF Elementary School:

Miss Anya

Ebony

Altered Jade
Nahla

Grace (Discontinued)
Paul
Altered Edward
Dylan
I remember trying to wear the perfect outfit, have my hair just right and hoping that when the photographer snapped that picture I was NOT closing my eyes!  hahaha..  Those were the days, when all you had to worry about was whether or not your picture would be good enough to send to all the relatives.  Back then I think the packages weren't too pricey, now-a-days who knows.  I'm sure it's pricier now than way back when, but I'm sure the primping and preening is still the same.  So you all remember the generic background for the portraits?  The background of our pictures was a bluish color so I used a bluish dp for the background and tried to take head shots of each of the kids.  Not too bad.   If you click on the kids names you will be hyper-linked to the store where you can find the image.  Unfortunately Grace is not available anymore, but there are others that can certainly take her place, you'll find them all HERE at the TGF store.

Lastly, what's a photo day without a class picture?!  Here is Miss Anya's 3rd grade class from TGF Elementary School.  Don't they look cute?

Of course I had to give everyone different colored hair, cause it's my story and I'm the director of it.  (lol)  I don't really like the grassy area so I will figure something out later.  For now, I love how it turned out.  Eventually I will put it in a frame but for now I matted it with some black & white cs.

Okie dokie, time for you to show us some of your "2 cool 4 school" projects.  The FFF challenges runs until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice!
Please upload your challenge cards to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> 2 Cool 4 School

Mahalo for stopping by to see my project.  I hope it inspires you to create something fun and out of the box.  Hope to see your project in the Galleria.  Have a wonderful Friday and a fantastic weekend my friends.

Hugs,
Lilo

4th of July in May

Happy Friday Everyone!
If you're still having issues with commenting on certain blogs, it might be the browser you are using.  I had been using Internet Explorer, but recently found out from Kim Yu and a few other blogging buds that Firefox would probably be better and it's free!!  Once I switched over and cleared the cache and cookies I was able to comment on the blogs that  I couldn't before.  Click HERE for the link to figure out how to clear those items.  Hope this helps relieve some stress and frustrations!
Thanks Kim and to the blogging buddies for your help! :)
Now on to my Farm Fresh Friday Challenge inspiration:

Hahaha, no, it's not July 4th yet, but for today let's just pretend it is.  Why?  Because today over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog we are having a new and fun challenge, create a card or project of your favorite HOLIDAY!  Whether it's Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine's or Halloween.  There are so many fun and favorite holidays to choose from.  To see what the ladies of the DT chose for their favorite holidays be sure to stop by the FFC blog or click HERE.  We would also love to know why you chose that particular holiday so make sure to leave us a little story when you post to the gallery.

I chose the 4th of July.  BBQs featuring hot dogs & burgers.  Fireworks of all kinds.  Friends and family getting together to celebrate Independence Day.  Why wouldn't it be fun?!  Here I have Twirl Anya in her Red, White & Blue outfit ready to celebrate the day.
I colored her up with Copics, and did the same with the pinwheel.  In the center of the pinwheel is a clear gem.  The background paper is from a very old paper pack from DCWV.  I think it might be a summer stack.  All the other patterned papers are from the same stack.  I used Jen Shults' Deconstructed sketch #2 for the layout.   The sentiment is from the Roll Call kit.

Here are the details for every FFF challenge:

  • The FFF challenge is open until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST. So you certainly have plenty of time to get started.
  • Use ANY TGF image
  • The winner will be chosen by Rachel or Jessica.
  • Winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice as well as a limited edition badge.
  • Please upload your challenge card/projects to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> Favorite Holiday.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a terrific weekend.  Mahalo for stopping by! ; )

Hugs,
Lilo
