It's going to bee a bee-u-tiful day

Morning everyone!

Today is the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another Kitty Bee Designs  Spotlight by me!  Today I wanted to spotlight this cute little bee (sorry it's been retired, but there are so many other adorable images to choose from in the shop, click HERE to start shopping).

It's been raining for the past couple of days so hopefully we'll be seeing some blooming flowers soon.  For now enjoy this giant sunflower card.

Lots of fun layers which I will share below.  I actually couldn't stop smiling once it was complete. The layers include:
Kraft card (Recollections), a lovely green printed patterned paper (K&Co - Jubilee), yellow sunflower doily, brown cardstock (Recollections), brown patterned paper (BG - Konnichiwa) die cut with Sizzix thinlit doily, Say it with pearls (Want 2 Scrap), computer printed sentiment cut into a banner. I thought it would be fun to scatter some of the drops from the center of the flower around the bottom of the card.  Here's a close-up:

I had enough to make a very small flower as part of the banner.  The smaller bumble bees are from Stamps by Judith.  Because I didn't think I had enough on the card (lol) I added the pearls for a little girly touch.  Here's a close up of part of the card showing off the 5-petal flower right in front of the sentiment.

I didn't have a handy "Bee" sentiment so I made one up and typed it out on the computer.  The font is called Heartbreaker.  I printed off a bunch of other sentiments that I hope to use with my future projects.  Here's a close up of the adorable Kitty Bee Designs spotlight image:

Colored with Copics, and fussy cut by hand, this little guy makes a wonderful addition to my card.

Hope it brightens up your day!

PS - Don't forget we're in the middle of a super easy challenge, (#18 - Monochromatic) stop by the challenge blog to see the details.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Have a great Monday!
