Lollipop Crafts #80 - Just for Him

Happy Monday!  (Oops!  Sorry this is very late!!)

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and is now ready for a brand new week of challenges with us at Lollipop Crafts.  This week's challenge is to create a CARD just for a guy.  Check out the A-Team inspirations at the LC blog and be back on Wednesday when the T-Team showcases our Sponsor Spotlight with Karber Digitals.

This is a card I made for my friend's Yakudoshi.  He just turned 41 on Friday, but we celebrated last Saturday with a party full of family, friends, food and fun.  Yep, all the F's in the house!  hahaha!  This  image is actually two in one.  The first is the kimono with the waves background, the second is the dragon.  You can't tell, but this is 3 dimensional.  I was in a rush to get to the party that I forgot about taking a side view of the card.  But no worries cause I'm pretty sure I can replicate this one again.  The kimono was stamped with black Memento ink and then colored with R29 red ink.  I used N9-N10 for the black parts and N7 for the shadows.  The dragon was stamped with versamark and then I sprinkled gold embossing powder on top.  The white card was dry embossed with an Asian embossing folder.

For the inside of the card I added bamboo (stamp from IDD) and stamped Happy Birthday (Hanko) and a koi fish (Kodomo, Inc) on to red cs.  The koi fish was stamped with white Color Box ink and embossed with clear powder.  Yes, I did cut out the bamboo after stamping and embossing it.  Took forever, but it was worth it.

Here is a close up of the dragon.  I really was hesistant to do this, but it turned out pretty cool.  Most of the symbols are good luck so had to include them on his card.  Easy card for a great guy.  Alrighty, I hope you can join us for this week's challenge.  Plus it will get you to create a guy card for once!  hahaha...  Mahalo for stopping by, have a great Monday!!

Hugs,
Leanne

BTW, you are an enabler Leanne! After one of your posts last week I just had to go to the Hanko site and order some paper and pre-order the Sister Stamps....and I was going to get the Kimono die but decided not to because I have the Pagoda cart....let's just say by time I left the site I had some explaining to do! LOL!
