Hello Friends!! This is gonna be a quickie! I'm keeping up with the birthday celebrations..
Yesterday was my younger brother's birthday. I was in the middle of making his card, then got distracted with other projects so I wasn't able to finish it until after we cut the cake his GF made for him. He likes sports, so I used a few images to create this one:
The hat is from the O&A Buddies set; head and body from the Roll call kit all from The Greeting Farm. I used the FFC WOW Sketch #9 for my layout as it was still fresh in my mind. Kept the colors & papers real simple. Used a few embossing folders and a couple punches. I also case'd part of Rachel's card. I loved how she used the balloons and used the letters instead of writing out the whole word. I used stars instead. You can't really tell, but the blue center part of the card was embossed with the Tim Holtz brick wall folder. I used white pigment ink to highlight parts of the wall to give it a distressed feel.
Lastly, I made this into an easel card. I didn't have a chance to fully finish the bottom part so using PAINT I typed in "Happy Birthday David." I'm still thinking how I want to finish it off.
And here is a fun picture of David with the yummy cake (yellow cake with white frosting & a key lime filling) his girlfriend Guille (pronounced Ghee-ya) made for him. I asked him to change his shirt for this picture and he was such a ham! He could totally sell this product!
Here he is with Guille, they are such a funny couple so it's always nice to get updated pictures of them.
Alrighty friends, I hope you'll stop by later tonight for my Farm Fresh Challenge post for Friday. It's going to be a fun challenge, hope you all will play along.
Mahalo for stopping by and enjoy the rest of this week.
