Happy B*day Brother

Happy Wednesday!! Hope you are doing well. I have a short post today. I came across these really coolKenny K's digital images while I was browsing through Angela Sowell's blog the other day. Please check out her awesome card she made. It's really beautiful!!
Kenny K's amazing images caught my eye right away. They have that funky, realistic yet ghetto sheik feeling to them. I could relate some of those images to some of my friends, they are so life-like and fun. I needed a card for my brother's birthday and remembered seeing this cool Basketball All-Star image that would fit perfectly for this card. My brother is an avid Lakers fan and he loves to play basketball. I tried to color the image as close to lookin' like my brother as possible. I gave him a Lakers jersey and since he has a ton of Michael Jordan basketball shorts I cut out some longer black shorts and added the Air Jordan logo to the left bottom corner. For the background I went simple yet dramatic.. I chose to go with the Laker colors of golden yellow and "Laker" purple. I picked a glittery yellow cs and embossed it using the Tim Holtz sun rays folder. I just love the embossed look of the rays behind this baller. I am pretty sure I'll be using more of those cool images, and if you like them as much go check out the site. Mahalo for stopping by in the middle of your day. Have a good one!!
