My friend, JO, asked me to make him a baby shower card for his co-worker. He mentioned she was having a girl so it should be girly colors. I made two cards that he could choose from. An easel card featuring a pink & green giraffe or Cuddle Anya sporting yellows and pinks. Since I wouldn't be seeing him before Saturday his sister, who is my co-worker, chose the card. She liked both but she thought JO's co-worker would like the pink & yellow card featuring Cuddle Anya a little bit more.
I used a really cute pink & yellow building block letters dp that I've had for ages. It's from a DCWV stack that I purchased when I first started cardmaking a few years ago. This was my inspiration for the color scheme. I also chose a sparkly yellow cs for the frame. It has pinks and whites in the sparkle that make the card shine.
I recently purchased, with a coupon, a set of Cloud 9 Design clear stamp sentiments. For this card I used one from the Simple Thoughts-Baby set. Because this was for a little girl I added a bright pink flower with a baby button brad.
For the inside, no pix available, I used a strip of the building blocks dp and stamped another sentiment from the same set. I also added an envelope that could house a gift card using the other pink dp seen on the top of the card.
I'll post the pink & green giraffe card next. For now, Mahalo for stopping by.
