Lilo's Fun Friday #100 - 2016

Happy Aloha Friday
&
Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you had a fabulous time celebrating the new year last night.  I spent a quiet night at home after a long day at work.  I plan on crafting a little bit this weekend and hanging out with friends and family.   I hope you get to do the same.

Today's Lilo's Fun Friday #100, (wow is it really the 100th post already?!)  I thought I'd share this card using a favorite (of many) Sister Stamps images, Mei Lin, from the very first release.

This is definitely a CAS kind of card using a few of my favorite companies.   Besides Sister Stamps, there's the washi paper from Hanko Designs and a couple new MFT dies (stitched rounded rectangle & LLD stitched numbers).

Not sure if you know that Sister Stamps will no longer be producing any more stamps.  It's such a shame because they are some of thee cutest stamps around.   They rank up there with the best in my opinion.  Although I'm sure many of the SS fans are sad we should also be happy that they gave us some wonderful stamps to cherish and continue to use.  I know I will.

I don't normally have NY's resolutions but I saw this one online and thought it was appropriate.

Hahaha!!

Hoping this year brings everyone peace, joy, laughter, wealth, health, strength & many more wonderful experiences.  2015 was a great year and I look forward to...

with you all.  Since this is my 100th Lilo's Fun Friday post I'd like to do a small give-a-way. (US residents only)  I have a couple Sister Stamps in my stash that I'd like to gift to one of you.  I might throw in some other crafty goodies as I have a lot to share.  If you're interested leave me a comment and I'll pick one of you next Friday.

Mahalo for stopping by, have a blessed 1st day of 2016.

Hugs,
Lilo

Lilo's Fun Friday #19 - on Saturday!

Happy Girls Day everyone!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to post a LFF project yesterday.  I decided to wait until today since this is the card that I wanted to share.  I waited til today because I thought this would be perfect for Happy Girls day.  I found out about this wonderful day last year from all my Hawaii blogging friends (they are all listed on my right side bar under "Aloha from Hawaii.")  I wish my mom had told me about it, but so glad I know about it now.  So in honor of this special day where girls are celebrated I made this card using Sister Stamps, Mei Lin.

I don't really have anyone to give this to so I kept the sentiment simple.  Yes it's another handwritten one.  That gorgeous washi paper is from Hanko Designs.  I forgot I had bought it and while rummaging through some bags I found it and two more packets of washi papers!!  Love when that happens.  (lol)  I pulled colors from the washi paper to color Mei Lin and her pin wheel streamers.  She's cut out with a wonky rectangle Spellbinder and I distress inked the inside with dusty concord DI.   I really feel bad covering up all that beautiful paper, but I think Mei Lin looks beautiful here so I'm gonna leave it as is.

O!  You all have to stop by Nadine's blog.  I saw her card this morning and I had to smile because we used the same stamped image.  Her card is beautiful!!  And I'm just not saying that because she gave me a shout out.  I truly believe she does really amazing work!  :)

Just a few things happening in my neck of the woods.  I will be very busy for the next two weeks preparing for a stamp convention and a Crafters show.  More details to follow next week.  I hope that in between I can stop by and oohh and ahhh over everyone's creations.  I wanted to say Thank you in advance for visiting me.  You all know how much I appreciate the love.

Okie dokie, back to the craft table to continue working creating.  I hope you all have a wonderful Girl's day and crafting weekend!!  Mahalo for stopping by!

Hugs,
Lilo

Lilo's Fun Friday

Happy Friday everyone!
Boy, so happy it's the end of the week.  It feels weird to not have something to post on Fridays anymore so I think every Friday I'm going to post a fun project and call it Lilo's Fun Friday.  :)  This is just my way of sharing something I made that is NOT for a challenge.  It might be a card or anything other than a card made for a special occasion or just because I had an inkling to color and create.  So today being the first Friday I wanted to share one of the cards I made using the cute Sister Stamps image, Mei Lin.  I have been making a few Thank you cards for some friends and my family to thank them for thinking of me on my birthday and the Sister Stamps have been used for most of them.  I love how unique the Sister Stamps are.  I am so happy that Jenny and her sister decided to share these wonderful images with the rest of us.  I have tons of washi/origami paper and now with these stamps I can utilize them more.  :)   YAY!!  Plus these images will put a smile on your face when you receive it.  At least I think so.  :)
Mei Lin by Sister Stamps

I am hoping to catch up to my awesome crafty friend Kris, who has almost used all the images from the first two releases.  I can see why, they are so fun to color and I think they are pretty unique.  And of course adorable!!  :)   The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm, and yes it is a retired set.  I thought it was perfect for my Thank you card.  The washi paper is something that I had in my stash and I used Spellbinders to frame her and distressed the inside.  The flowers on the sentiment are punches and I thought the inside flower matched Mei Lin's pinwheel.

Arigato!!

Alrighty friends, before I leave, if you would like to share for fun in my Fun Friday go ahead and link up your direct link to your project at the bottom of my post.  (Crossing my fingers that it works, if it doesn't and you don't see the blue frog just leave me a comment with ur direct link to your card)  Thanks Berenice for your help!!

Time to get to work.  Mahalo for stopping by and hope you enjoyed my first Fun Friday share.  Have a wonderful Friday and a terrific weekend!!

Arigato!!

July C.A.T.S.

Happy Sunday everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  I'm going to try to enjoy today as tomorrow it's back to work and my boss will be back from her long and well deserved vacation to China with her family.

I was so happy that I got to sign up for Joy's C.A.T.S. (Card And Tag Swap) for the next three months.  I was paired up with the very talented Brenda for July and our theme was red, white & blue.  I have admired her blog for quite some time and she is so very talented when it comes to creating beautiful cards and projects.  I got her CATS in the mail maybe a week or two after we got our partners.  I was totally blown away with what I received.

She used the cute Sister Stamp Kiyomi.  I love the scene she created here, Kiyomi looks like any little girl having fun playing in the grass chasing butterflies.

Next up is the adorable matching tag:

And as an added and definitely welcomed bonus, I received one of her beautiful hand made bird of paradise creations.  It's a little notepad with a pen.  Doesn't the flower stand out and make this plain notepad beautiful?

I love my set and the wonderful notepad with her beautiful bird of paradise creation.  I have to find a frame worthy of them all.  I doubt I will be using the tag or notepad for anything but decoration.  Maybe a shadow box.  :)

Here is what I made for her, I hope she likes it as much as I liked making it.  I used another of the Sister Stamps, Mei Lin for my card.  I chose a white base for both the card and tag and used the blues and reds to color her.  First up is the card.  I made it into a circle easel card, which I learned to make at CHA.  (I will share that card later this week)

Sorry for the bad quality in pictures.  I should have used a different colored background.  Here is the matching tag.  This is a little better picture.

And here is the set together.

And there you have it.  I am so glad I got to sign up, it's not only fun, you get to connect with your blogging friends and share your creations with them and receive some wonderful creations too.  I already have my partner for August, and it's going to be another fun swap.  Hopefully you can sign up in September when the list is opened.

Okay friends, time for me to get back to finishing my projects for this week.  Don't forget tomorrow is Mystery Card Monday at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog and as an added bonus we are hopping along with the Farmers to celebrate The Greeting Farm's 3rd Year-Young Birthday bash!  So many wonderful prizes are up for grabs, and so many cute projects featuring the new birthday releases that were showcased last week by the talented Farmers and my sistas on the FFC DT.  You don't want to miss a second of it!  The fun starts at Midnight over at The Greeting Farm blog.

Have a wonderful Sunday friends and I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Hugs,
Lilo
