With Heartfelt Sympathy

Morning!

Today's share is another CAS card made with Distress ink pads, black ink, a Spellbinder die and a piece of sheer ribbon.  As I mentioned the other day I've been in a funk with crafting and trying to get back in to it by going back to basics.  I've been having a lot of fun with that plan and hopefully that'll help me get my groove back.   Here's the card I made using a Rubbernecker background stamp (Wildflower BKG) and an AmyR Sympathy sentiment.

Sympathy cards are always so difficult to create, but when I do I try to make them as simple and serene as possible.  I think I accomplished that goal with this card.

It's too bad you can't see the shimmer on top of the card.  It's really pretty because it brings out the tones in the colors beautifully.  I love how this one turned out and I hope it gives some comfort to the ones that receive it.  Will definitely add more like this one to my stash leaving off the sentiment.  Alrighty, have a great day everyone!!  Thank you for stopping in.

This turned out pretty Leanne~ love all the colors going on... I'm a CAS kinda of crafter myself... I don't like clutter on my projects unless it is recommended by one of the DT's, LOL!
I'm still trying to get caught replenishing my stash box. It's so awkward they go in and they come right back out, hehe!!!!
Enjoy your crafty moments~

I definitely love your color choices for this sympathy card....unconventional but so soothing. It is difficult to keep a stash of cards full. Sympathy cards in particular need to be on hand as you never know when you'll need one. I like the delicate plant images you used and your idea of leaving the sentiment off so the card could be used for a variety of occasions.

What a great card! I was just thinking to myself that I need a stash of sympathy cards on hand, yet I never feel comfortable making them. Wise choice on this heartfelt card!
