{Please scroll down for my blog hop post}
Hey everyone!
Today is the first Monday of the month which means spotlight time for me on the Kitty Bee Designs blog! It also happens to be holiday for us in the USA, it's Labor Day! Woo Hoo!! A well deserved one me thinks. Our next official holiday isn't until Thanksgiving!
Have you gone through our Halloween blog hop yet? If you have terrific, hopefully you've left comments on everyone's blog. If not, you have some time left, the hop ends on 9/7 and we'll announce the winners on 9/9. Click HERE to get started.
Now let's get on with my spotlight for today. If you haven't already noticed, owner and illustrator, Ruth Johnson not only created some adorably cute images for Halloween and Christmas, but she added some awesome sea animals to the mix!! I am so excited to share one of the new sea animals today, as it was one that I specifically asked for. She did an awesome job putting her cuteness stamp on this digital stamp... This is Narwhal Love...
Cute yah? I love how squishy they turned out. This is actually one image that I printed out two more times in different sizes. For fun I used different colors on these guys. Here's what I did with them...
I used Distress inks, an embossing folder, a wave border die, Stickles and some Perlen liquid to create this fun water scene. The wave border was layered on the bottom and one of the narwhals fit perfectly inside it. Using the Perlen pen gives these guys the wet look I was going for. Love that stuff! How about some close ups?

Yes, I do love the look! The card conveys so much movement and cuteness. Really love the soft colors you achieved. Mixing the Perle pen and Stickles creates a lovely oceany feel....I'm inspired to try it! Thanks!
