Friends in the Spotlight

Hello! Happy Sunday. Hope you all have been having a great weekend. Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. It's been a great birthday, but also been a busy few days as well. I haven't posted anything in a few days, but I made it a point to visit your blogs. I have a few posts to catch up on but first I'd like to post the cards, both handmade and store bought that I received for my birthday.
First up are the store bought cards. I always love cards no matter if they are handmade or store bought. These were all very funny cards and one very sentimental one. Love em!
These next cards are all handmade and very cute. The first up is from my friend Jen, It's so cute, the colors are perfect for summer. The next card is from my friend Kathy. She used Cupcake Anya and personalized the tag herself. She did such a great job. The next photo is taken of my present from my friend Elise. She made me a frame with my name and used cute Spotlight Anya. She also customized the bag. The other item she also made was the cute purse. This girl is super talented. She makes cards, sews and bakes!!
Lastly, but definitely not least, is the pretty card I received from my friends at work. My friend Jenny made the card and showed off her talents. She's a jeweler at heart, but she can make a pretty card at the drop of a hat. Annnndd... I can't forget about the fabulous cake made by my talented friend Doreen. I call her the queen of yummies, because she's always making the best desserts on this side of town. I call it the pineapple dream cake, but it's actually called, "Better than sex cake" yup that's what it's called. All I can say, is it's yum all the way!! Aren't my friends super talented? We always joke about all of us going in to business when we leave our jobs, but it's just a dream. Mahalo for stopping by, look for my next posts and hopefully my blog candy...

A Surprise Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday! This is my 2nd post and it will be a short one. Just wanted to let you all know that Tamiko's is having a surprise blog hop to not only showcase the new TGF releases, but it is also a surprise BIRTHDAY blog hop for the fabulous Cami who's birthday is Sept. 7th. Be sure to hop over to Tamiko's to start the hop.
Hope you have a wonderful day!! I plan to.
Hugs,

It's my Birthday!

Just sharing a beautiful card given to me by one of my besties, Renate. I have been bugging her to get a blog started, so she can share her amazing talent. She's got mad skills! Hopefully she will start one real soon. She is the reason I have this craft obsession. She is my co-conspirator and when we go shopping we are always competing to see who spends the most. Needless to say I usually end up the winner, or is it loser?! hahaha
She did a fabulous job on my card. I just loves it!!!
I've seen lots of posts about candies on your blogs and figured hey why not give one away, not just because it's my birthday but it's also my blogaversary. Can't believe it's been a year since I started this blog and it's been a blessing. I've met so many wonderful people who share this great craft and who are so talented. Thank you all for being inspirations and for the wonderful comments you've given me and most of all, for the friendships we've started via the WWW.
I'm not sure what the candy will be yet, but I'm almost positive there will be a Panda Express gift card and of course some other craft goodies. So stay tuned tomorrow, while I figure it all out. I should have something posted by Thursday or Friday.
For now, I wanted to share a few pictures that were taken last night with my best friends and their kids. We celebrated at the local So. Pasadena Pharmacy with this ice cream dessert called, the kitchen sink. It was huge! 8 different ice-cream flavors two scoops each the size of baseballs (pistachio, dbl vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, pralines and cream, coconut with pineapple & pistachio), two whole bananas, brownies, chocolate syrup, raspberry syrup, a whole can of whip cream and lots of cherries! OMG we could have used a ton more ppl to help us gobble it all down. Too bad I didn't take a picture of the end result, but let's just say we did it justice. Hopefully we won't wake up with tummy aches. It was also my friend's Shirley (she's on my right side) and Marlys' (not pictured) birthdays as well. Here is a group shot of my fantastik friends. They are truly the best, I love them a lot!
Well I'm gonna hit the hay, going to get up super early to get to work so I can leave super early. Yes, I have to work on my birthday this year. No Disneyland. :(
But, it's okay, I'm ok with it.
BTW, I hope you all get a chance to check out all the blog hops and releases happening today. I completed the TGF one, and boy did those ladies out do themselves with all the cuteness. Check back to see what candy I will be giving away. Have a wonderful day and Mahalo for stopping by!

Fun in the Sun

Hello, it's Tuesday morning and this should be a pretty fast post. I purchased these gorgeous SN stamps a while ago, colored them and finally put them on a card. I know it's not the greatest, but I love it just the same. This gorgeous mermaid, Pearl Tidepool is one of my favorites as well as her little honu, turtle, friend Seamoor. Amy Young is the artist of these gorgeous stamps. So happy that even though the background could have been a lot better, the main focus is on the great images. The rest are just accents to them.
This scene reminds me of the time I was swimming in the lake at Waikoloa Village and a honu popped it's head up not an arm's length away. It was one of the best moments in my life. I'll never forget it and I will always treasure it. I'll be sharing some fun stuff later today as well as on Wednesday! Have a good one!!
Mahalo for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
