Another Thanks Tag

Hello!

Are you ready for another tag?  Don't worry this is gonna be short and sweet.  Yes, I enjoyed the little things this weekend and one of them was making a few tags for my stash.  You can never have too many Thank you tags, so I had fun with this one...

After cutting out the tags with black and white cardstock I die cut the thanks into the white tag. Glued it to the black tag and then went on a stamping frenzy using the different sizes and shapes of Sakura flowers with different colored Distress inks. Added the twine to tie it all together. (pun intended.... lol)

Used the following supplies: Tag You're It MFT die, Taylored Expressions word die, Sakura stamps from Sister Stamps, Distress Inks (shabby shutters, spiced marmalade, mustard seed & peacock feathers), sequins from Winnie & Walter, Doodlebug twine, Neenah black and white cardstock.

Another Sakura Set card

Hey everyone!

Popping in to share another CAS card featuring the Sakura stamp set from Sister Stamps.  I'm really enjoying using this set to make no-fuss cards.  So much fun to stamp away and not have to color anything.  I used some of the stamps to make this bereavement card.

It's so hard to make these kinds of cards, so trying to make it simple is always my goal.  Here I mimicked my last card.  I don't know if you can see it but there is a strip of washi paper underneath the sentiment.  I sorta like how the flowers blend in between the white strip and the washi paper.  The card itself is ivory Tsumugi cardstock from Hanko Designs.

Today I have a CAS card featuring the Sakura stamp set from the last release from Sister Stamps.  I have been wanting to use them in a background only card after I saw this card on Lalo's blog.  I finally got the chance this weekend.  I pulled out the Sakura stamps, some dew drop Memento inks and a couple MFT ink pads to create this card:

I love the color scheme, so bright and happy for a summer birthday.  The sentiment is computer generated and kinda goes with the flower power background.  The cool thing about using a computer generated sentiment is that you can choose any font you like.  I really like how it turned out and plan to make similar cards for my stash with different colors and sentiments.

Sakura-Chan

We've had a boom in pregnancies at work, not sure what's in the water, but it's affecting some of our newly wedded ladies! hahaha!!  So glad I have the newest Sister Stamps to create some fun baby cards for the future mamas-to-be. Here's a simple card featuring Sakura-chan and the Sakura set:

First I started off stamping/coloring Sakura-chan, then I masked her and used several of the Sakura set stamps to stamp around her.  I wasn't sure what I was going for at that point, so I put the image aside after coloring it up.  Not sure where the branches started to play a part but once I started I couldn't stop.  I drew them in with a Copic marker and then tried to draw in some details with a darker Copic color. Grabbed one of the impression sakura stamps and used one of my new ink pads from MFT to create the buds on the tree. The washi paper was layered over the white card and using the crocheted ribbon on the top and the bottom gave this a really nice girly touch.  The last addition is the computer generated sentiment.  Here is a close up...

I used a gold Viva decor pen for the stamens inside the sakura.  It gives a nice dimensional touch. You can see a little bit more of the branches and the yellow flowers here.
