25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 2

Hello!

Before I start I just wanted to say that I am so happy Fixer Upper is finally back!!  Woo Hoo!  They did not disappoint on the first episode either.  Looking forward to more antics from Chip and more gorgeous reveals designed by Joanna.

For day 2 I thought I would share the cards from my November Secret Sister Swap.  We were asked to make 4 cards (either the same or different) that would be sent to four swap sisters and in return we would receive 4 different cards from everyone who participated.  This helps add to our stash and also spread some Christmas joy.  I will share my card(s) first then the ones from my swap partners.  For my four cards I used a lot of dies and layers of papers.  I also added some charcoal gray and black, I'm really liking how they accent everything.

I used MFT & La-La Land dies, some patterned paper, gems, a doily, charcoal gray colored felt and Petaloo flowers.  I created two of the same concept interchanging the reds and greens.  Here are the four cards together before I sent them off to their new homes...

Here are the four sweet Christmas cards I got in return.  Starting off with this adorably sweet card from Cyndi Kim...

From Cyndi Kim

Love this adorable image and the pretty snowflake paper.  Next up is this super sweet card from Annie!

From Annie

How sweet is that gingerbread man?  And the fun snowflake stamped and embossed background? This next one is from the very super talented queen of scenes, Karen from Have a Scrap Happy Day!  Hi Karen!!

From Karen!  Hi Karen!!

Love it!  This is the absolutely adorable!  And this last gorgeous card is either from Jayne or Mare Benne:

The sparkle on Santa is sooo cool, it's really stunning IRL.  Aren't they all wonderful?  And they are definitely going in my Christmas card stash to send to some special family and friends.  I really loved this swap idea.  Thanks Kathy!!

Thanks for stopping by for day 2!  I'll be back to share another completed craft project tomorrow.  Happy Hump day!

Hugs,
Leanne

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 1

Hello!!

Happy December everyone!  Can you believe in just 24 days we'll be celebrating the best day ever?!  lol!  I thought it would be fun to share some projects I've been working on for the next 25 days.  This was something Linda (Hi Linda!) did last year and she's planning to do this again this year, but I think she's only sharing on IG & FB.  I thought it this was a fun idea and I have some finished projects which includes cards and non-card projects that I can spread throughout the next 25 days.  Today I'm starting off with this calendar page I made last year...

The original was designed by my friend Angie (Hi Angie!) and I put this one together.  Used the adorable Holiday Anya 4 from The Greeting Farm, calendar page from Taylored Expressions, and snowflakes from a MS punch.  Colored HA4 with Copics and popped her on to the red panel.

Something sweet and simple for the first day.  I'll be back for the next 25 days with other Christmas crafts and if you'd like to share too just leave a comment and I'll be sure to come visit.  Thank you so much for popping in!!

Happy Holidays!
Leanne

Rhodes 2 Wreaths - My sister the crafter

Hello!

Today I'm going to share some crafty goodness not from me, but from my sister, Nicole.  Back in October she posted in Facebook a wreath that she had made.  She said she saw some on Pinterest and wanted to try it out.  One of her co-workers asked for a handmade item that she could donate to her son's silent auction fundraiser at school and that is how this got started.  I was shocked to say the least.  She's not the crafty type.  LOL!!  Little did I know that she's actually got a really awesome eye for ribbon, mesh and putting them all together with some gorgeous details to create some very beautiful wreaths.  Now I am being biased, but I think these are even better than the ones you find hanging up in Michael's.

I placed an order for my co-workers for Christmas and got them just in time for them to enjoy from Christmas Eve until after the 1st of the year.  Our aisle at work was dubbed "Christmas Wreath Row."  Here are a few of the wreaths that I was able to take pictures of...

As you can see smiles all around!!  Most of them were very non-traditional colors, I asked specific ones to be certain colors based on who they were going to.  I love that she took just colors and made these beautiful pieces of art to fit each individual.  I didn't have to say a thing and she pretty much nailed it on the head with each one.  I also love that some of these can be up all year round.  I had a few more made and as soon as I can upload the pics I'll share them.  If you're interested in ordering for next year leave me a message or like my sister's Facebook page: Rhodes 2 Wreaths.

I've been working on some projects of my own and Kitty Bee posts will start up again on Friday, yay! Feels like I've been on a break forever!  hahaha!  I know I've been MIA, but now that work has slowed down, I can start back up and come visit.  For now, I hope you enjoyed today's post.  Have a great day and for those of you on the East Coast, I hope you're bundled up tight and are staying in where it's warm.  Take care!
