You make me Smile

Hello Friends!
Poppin' in to share a fun card I made using some of my new stamps.  I have been wanting to play with the new Sweet November Land sea friends since they came in the mail.  Have you met merbaby Shelly and Bebe her baby beluga whale companion?  They are part of the new cuties swimming in to SNL.  You might be wondering why does Shelly look different.  Well I was showing my mom the card and even though she was colored with reds and oranges she thought Shelly was a boy.  So I hope Amy doesn't mind that I added a ponytail to Shelly's do.  I actually think it's kinda cute, especially because it's curly. (hehe)  Did you know that Bebe has a special talent which gives her the power to color coordinate her outer layer to match her BFF Shelly's outfits?  Well she doesn't really, but it's my card so I'm saying she does.  (hehe)   Had to add that wonderful AmyR sentiment to this card, it was perfect!

As you can see, I kept the card pretty simple using only a single sheet of patterned paper and the rest cardstock.  Instead of clouds for a background I made waves!  Using the same cloud background technique Amy shared on her blog I made a stencil for my waves.  This time I used Distress inks and love the result.  I used Spellbinder circles and a couple circle punches.  I am so happy to have been able to play with these two wonderful additions to SNL born from the talented imagination and hands of Amy Young.  I hope to get a chance to ink up the rest of my new stamps.  Maybe you'll be seeing more in the next couple of days.

For now, Mahalo for stopping by.  I hope you are enjoying your day where ever you may be.

Hugs,
Lilo
