KBD - Spotlight Baby Girl

Morning!

Today I'm sharing a quick spotlight on the Kitty Bee Designs blog featuring Pleasantly Surprised Bear.

I needed a baby shower card for a co-worker and this image worked out perfectly. My colors are not the traditional baby girl colors, but I tend not to do traditional. lol.  I really like the blue & pink combo and went with it.  Lots going on here yea?  hahaha...  I used a white cardbase, pink matte on top of that then another blue matte on top of that which is embossed with polka dots, on top of that is a darker pink & white tag, then a doily to help break up the different patterns, and the additional butterfly, sentiment and banner top off this card. I also wanted to share a bag I transformed with some sheets of paper and some flowers.

The bag is from Bath & Body Works and it was perfect for my gift.  Sorry I wish I had taken pictures of the outfits, they were the same colors, navy blue & pink and so darn cute.  They were the actual inspiration for my card and color choices. Glad I could doll up the bag to use for the gift and I am happy to report that everything on it was from my stash!! Woot!!  The sentiment in the upper right corner says,

"A baby
Makes love stronger,
the days shorter,
the nights longer,
savings smaller
and a home happier"

Thought that was a perfect sentiment to fill that space on the bag.

Well thanks for stopping by to see my Spotlight showcase of this adorably cute bear in a gift. Holy cow, that's a LOT of layers. Make your card all the more spectacular. Perfect sentiment too and oh so true. Have a super crafty weekend.

Oh, you are so clever! Love all the layers and details on the card. The decorated BBW bag is pure genius! I shop there often but never thought of turning their pretty/sturdy bags into a pretty gift bag. Thank you for the useful and money saving idea.
