This week's challenge over at Lollipop Crafts is to use the colors dark red, brown and cream on your project. To see what my team created, please visit the Lollipop blog.
Our sponsor this week is Meljen's Designs. Here is a little "bit" about Meljen's Designs:
Meljen's is a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical images inspired by her kids & family. The Meljen's Design store officially launched on April 1st and is steadily growing. Meljen's has new images and new challenges every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer every month at the Meljen's Design Team blog. Please visit the Meljen's store to see more of her wonderful and whimsical designs.
For my card I chose to use this adorable Holly Christmas Fairy digi. I colored her with Copics and the papers are all cardstock, no dp on this one. It's fairly CAS as I only embossed the cream card. I did add a stool so that she would look like she's sitting on something instead of floating in the air. hahaha. I distressed the edges with Antique Linen distress inks, it warmed up the card. I added fun flock to her dress, and beanie. The sentiment was handwritten by yours truly because the space would not fit this particular saying. I thought it matched because she's holding a holly branch. Although it looks like this is the full card, it's actually not. I made it into an easel card. Here is the rest of it.
Of course here I was able to use an AmyR sentiment for the stopper. (Yay) The bottom has some holly leaves and berries. The leaves were punched with a MS punch and the berries were punched with a regular hole punch. I left some space so that I could write a message below.
Lollipop Crafts post using the required colors: dark red, brown & cream for a chance to win 4 digis from Meljen's Designs. Looking forward to your projects.
