25 Day of Christmas Challenge - Day 21

Hello!!

Oi!!  This is super late!  I've either been late here or on IG.  hahaha!  Today, I'm late here.  So I'll make it short and sweet for day 21 of the 25 days of Christmas challenge with Linda & Kathy with this sweet onesie Christmas card...

Hehehe,  I love this card!  It's super duper CAS.  I used the MFT baby onesie die for this easy peasy card.  A Santa sticker to go on top with some white stitching and a Ho*Ho*Ho sentiment.   I bought that designer paper from Hobby Lobby and was waiting for just the right time to use it.  This card seemed perfect!  I did something simple with the inside using a new MFT die and a new La-La Land Crafts club kit die.

The sentiment is an older AmyR one and I love how simple it is.  Totally love the simpleness of this card.  I hope you do too.  Hope you're all enjoying the countdown to Christmas.  I certainly am going a little bit wacky, but so loving it.  If only I could be off from work like all the school kids.  That would be perfect!!  hehehe!   Thanks so much for popping in!  See you tomorrow!

Leanne

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 18, Lilo's Fun Friday #98

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!

Wow just one more week and Christmas will finally be here!!  I bet you're all already done with the shopping and sending out Christmas cards right?!  Not me, I'm always late.  (hahaha)

For Lilo's Fun Friday (#98)  I wanted to share another baby's 1st Christmas card for the 25 days of Christmas challenge with Linda & Kathy.  I hope it makes you smile...

This cutie shaking his bootie is Po from Sister Stamps.  I colored a onesie around him and gave him a cute little Santa hat.  The layout is just as CAS as yesterday's card.  Love those hanging snowflakes from my newest La-La Land Crafts club kit.  Also used the MFT bib die and a Crafter's companion snowflake embossing folder.  The papers are all from my stash and might look familiar as I'm trying to use them up!

Hope you all enjoy the last weekend before Christmas!!  Have a happy Aloha Friday and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Hugs,
Lilo

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 16

Hey everyone!!

I'm still rolling with the 25 days of Christmas challenge with Linda & Kathy and having fun with it.  Today I thought I'd share the card that Linda designed for our get-together with Kathy, Belia & Donna.  Here is it...

A sweet 4x4 card combining some La-La Land dies and a sweet Secret Santa Anya.  The igloo, sentiment and sea lion are from one of the La-La Land Club kits.  The clouds were made with a stencil and some Distress inks.  Adding the sequins in the sky for touches of sparkle.  The igloo is spectacular with it's glittery shield.  I chose some bold colors for SS Anya and subtle tones for the sea lion.  One of the cutest cards I've done so far.  Thanks Linda for the sweet design!

Hope you're all having a nice week.  Thanks so much for dropping by!

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 7 KBD Spotlight

Season's Greetings friends!

Today is day 7 in my 25 Days of Christmas challenge.  I'm spotlighting this card over on the Kitty Bee Designs blog today.  That must mean it's the first Monday of DECEMBER!!!  Can you believe there's only 18 days until Christmas!!  Woo Hoo!!  Hopefully you've already gotten your shopping started or making those lists for who's been naughty or nice this year.  If you're like me you start early and buy things throughout the year.  The problem is finding the hiding places I put them in!  hahaha!
I'm spotlighting 2 of our cute Christmas Penguins: Reindeer Christmas Penguin & Hollie Christmas Penguin.  I printed them out lighter than usual and colored them with some light colors.  Hopefully you can see them, it was a bit hard to photograph and edit without washing either of them out.  I took a close up so you can see them below.  You can't tell but I added WOS to the star, nose, holly leaves and bell.  It truly looks pretty IRL.  I promise!  (hahaha)

(We have a nice selection of Winter & Christmas images in the Etsy store to use on all of your Christmas cards and projects.  Hop on over to starting buying!)

I used non-traditional Christmas colors for this card, but I'm finding that doesn't really fit anymore.  With the Frozen movie it seems these are considered Christmas colors too.  Or at least Winter colors. The igloo is from the November  La-La Land Club kit.  Yep after die cutting it I glued on each of the tiles back!  In case you were wondering I added a piece of cardstock to the back to making gluing easier.  The stitched borders are from MFT, the snowflakes are from C. C. Designs and the rolling hills were created with Mama Elephant stitched dies.  I added WOS on the snowflakes and added a touch of lavender rhinestones for a nice little bling.  I handwrote, "Happy Holidays From our Igloo to yours."  I thought it was a cute sentiment for this card.

Thank you all so much for joining our challenges for 2015 and we hope you'll anticipate the challenges coming in 2016, you'll have even more fun!  Wishing you Happy Holidays and hope you and your families enjoy this wonderful season of giving and joy.  Today is my last spotlight for 2015!  The kitties & bees are taking the rest of the year off to spend time with our ohana and of course to finish finding (and making) the perfect gifts for everyone.  But of course I'll be back tomorrow with day 8 of my 25DOCC.

Mahalo for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Good morning!

This is the birthday card I made for my mom who celebrated her "22nd" birthday yesterday!  hahaha!  I used the exclusive newsletter, Gift Mermaid Anya, from The Greeting Farm and some beautiful new dies I just received in my April La-La Land Crafts club kit!!   Also included are one of my favorite Sizzix embossed backgrounds and a laser cut sentiment from Island Scrapbooking.  I have to admit I had no idea what this would look like in the end, but I'm so happy with the outcome.  Lucky for me I already had the mermaid colored up and using a few Copic markers the flowers were done in no time.  Used Tumbled Glass DI for the backdrop.  Here are a few more pictures from last night...

Dinner at Ai's a Japanese restaurant my parents like to go to

The birthday cake with only 1 candle

yum tasty!

Tulips and a Mermaid

We also got her a mini iPad so now she can face-time with her sisters and friends.  All-in-all a wonderful day to celebrate a wonderful lady.  Okie dokes, sorry to cut this short but I have a lot to do today so I'll stop right here.  Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous Saturday!!

A bookmark for Grandma

Hello!

Today I wanted to share the fun bookmark I made for my Grandma's birthday.  She loves to sew and read so I decided to make her a sewing themed little gift to go with some of her favorite authored books.

First off I used some beautiful dies from La-La Land Crafts.  The February Club Kit was a sewing theme.  So many gorgeous dies and other lovely pretty things came with the kit.  I haven't had a chance to play with everything except the dies and one of the sentiment stamps, but I'll make some time to put all the projects together soon.  Below is a close up on the detailed filigree scissors, and the measuring tape ribbon I used.

I also used a stitched border die from MFT to keep the theme going all the way through.  I found a baby button brad and it worked perfectly on the scissors.  I bet your wondering if the scissors close, well take a look...

They do!  hahaha!  Well I guess as long and you don't tighten the brad too much or glue it down you should be able to open and close them.  So cute!  You also receive a buttons border die and some separate buttons.  As you can see I used them on the side of the bookmark and on the washi cut banner.  That sentiment also comes with the kit.  I sew love this set (pun intended hahaha).

Grandmother really liked it and she said she'll use it as she's reading all the books we sent to her.  I am so happy!!  If you're interested in how the kit club works click HERE.  There are so many options to choose from and you don't have to wait to get them in a year!  So handy and so darn cute!!  Okie dokes, this is as good a time as any to say... Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.  I'll have an Aloha Friday challenge post tomorrow, hope you'll stop by to see what it is and then join our challenge.  Ta-ta for now!!
