Happy Birthday Maile! - 1st Birthday card of 2016

Hello!!

Hope you all had a nice New Year's Day.  Every year on New Year's Day we go to my friend's house to celebrate and for the past 11 of those years it has been a double celebration with a birthday party and New Years celebration all rolled in to one.  I spent the morning working on this card for my friend's niece's birthday...

It's still got a little bit of the holiday flair going on, but with a touch of birthday fun.  I used the adorable image from TGF's Secret Santa set as the focal point.  I also broke open my Recollections Craft It Vintage Glam paper pads for this one.  Might as well use something new for this card.  I like this paper pad, lots of glam and glitter and it has lots of craft paper designs.  Also used here are some go to MFT dies, Blueprints 20 & Stitched mini scallops oval.  From Mama Elephant the two sentiments dies.  The gems and flower are both from Recollections.

I took this with me to the party for the birthday girl.  With friends, relatives and my parents, I spent another wonderful day celebrating not only the new year, but my friend's sweet niece's birthday.  Another wonderful surprise was to see one of my former basketball players there with her little family.  Her husband coaches my friend's niece in basketball!  Small world!  It was another blessing to see her there and to know she's doing so well.

Now that the Christmas season has passed, I'll be sharing the other cards & projects I made which include lots of birthday cards.  It should be fun trying to remember all the products I used, so if I can't remember please don't hold it against me.  hahaha!  Cheers to day 2 of 2016.  Thanks for stopping by!

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 16

Hey everyone!!

I'm still rolling with the 25 days of Christmas challenge with Linda & Kathy and having fun with it.  Today I thought I'd share the card that Linda designed for our get-together with Kathy, Belia & Donna.  Here is it...

A sweet 4x4 card combining some La-La Land dies and a sweet Secret Santa Anya.  The igloo, sentiment and sea lion are from one of the La-La Land Club kits.  The clouds were made with a stencil and some Distress inks.  Adding the sequins in the sky for touches of sparkle.  The igloo is spectacular with it's glittery shield.  I chose some bold colors for SS Anya and subtle tones for the sea lion.  One of the cutest cards I've done so far.  Thanks Linda for the sweet design!

Hope you're all having a nice week.  Thanks so much for dropping by!

Leanne

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 13

Hello!

It's a bright day 13 of 25 days of Christmas challenge I've joined with Linda & Kathy.  We're half way done which means we're halfway to Christmas!!  Woo Hoo!  Today I have a fun card designed by Kathy.  (Hi Kathy!)  This is the 3rd card from the Christmas card swap get-together with Kathy, Linda, Donna & Belia.

The little dude is from the Secret Santa kit, the tree is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the ivy background is from Taylored Expressions.  I added red half pearls and the green dots are from a pearl pen.  This is definitely a CAS card.  Here are a few more pictures featuring my first handmade Christmas card & new calendar from the queen of scenes, Karen Inouye.  Hi Karen!!

Isn't this a cute scene?  I love everything about it!  Not only did I receive this sweet card I also got a new mini calendar!

Isn't this pretty?!  She did an amazing job with both projects.  Love the colors and all the dies she used to make each scene.  Thank you Karen!!  Pop on over to her blog and check out all her cute projects that she's made of the last few months.

Well thanks again for stopping by!  I'm looking forward to the rest of the countdown.  Have a great day!

Leanne

25 Days of Christmas Challenge - Day 5

Hello!

It's day 5 of my 25 days of Christmas challenge.  Today I wanted to share this super cute cocoa packet holder that was designed by one of my crafting friends, Belia.  (Hi Belia!)  We got together with Kathy, Linda and my new friend Donna last month to make some Christmas cards to swap with one another.  This is the first of the four.  I plan to spread them out over the next few days.

Isn't it the cutest?!  I love the cute papers and the colors make me smile.  Colored the altered image of 2 TGF images, Beanie Ian & Secret Santa Kit (exclusive).  Below you'll find a message and the hot cocoa packet inside.  This is a fun idea to share some warm wishes this holiday season.

This is one of my favorites this year,  I'm thinking of making more of these.  Hopefully I can find paper that cute!

Well my friends, hoping you all have a wonderful Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!!
