LFF #101 on Saturday - A few calendars for 2016

Hello!

Nothing like some rain to make you want to just roll up in a cozy blanket and not do anything!  hahaha!  Yes, much of California is being inundated with rain courtesy of El Nin-yo.  We've also got snow on the mountain so for those who think it doesn't snow here it does just at a higher elevation.

So getting in to today's LFF #101 post on Saturday I wanted to share the only 2016 calendars I made which went to my mom's Monday Coco's group of friends.  She totally wiped out my calendars so I had to buy some from a friend, thanks Kathy for your stash!  I went with CAS, cute and decided to do an Asian theme.   It's the year of the Monkey so a few monkey cards along with the ever cute Maneki Neko were perfect and neutral.

Ai ya sorry this picture is sooo blurrry!!  I took more below, but these are it.  Images, dies & sentiments are from Mama Elephants All Prettied UpLunar Animals and Lunar Extras.  I also used one MFT die, Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop circle, black cardstock, and paper from the Far East stack from DCWV.  Here's a closer look at each calendar/card with the monkey themed card up first...

Hehehe, the little hat is so cute.  I guess I could have lowered it a little bit more on his head, nah looks just right.  Such a sweet combination of images.  The red envelope he's holding is from the Lunar Extra set.  Lots of fun images in that set.  Since these were cards I also did a simple message on the inside:

Here's the Maneki Neko cat card :

Had to look online to see what colors are used to color him/her.  I liked this color combo the best.  The Chinese characters says Happy New Year and a simple message on the inside with some falling sakura flowers...

I made 5 of each and my mom said everyone loved them.  Woo Hoo!!

I placed an order for more calendars because I had a few requests from my co-workers.  Thinkin I can maybe make a few dollars to support my habit, I mean hobby.  (hehehe)

Now on to the winner of last week's LFF 100th post, thank you to Jenny W, Lynn, Denice & Heidi for commenting.  I wish I could give you each something, so guess what?!  I will!  Congratulations ladies!  If you all live in the US you all qualify.  Please email me your snail mail: quikhonu34@yahoo.com and I'll get your goodies in the mail within the next couple weeks.  If I already have it you'll get it sooner.

Well looks like I'll be doing a little coloring and making stuff for meet ups with some of my crafty friends who are in town for CHA.  No I'm not going to the show but doesn't mean I can't meet up with them outside the arena.  Hope to have some photos to share.  Until then, have a fabulous weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Lilo's Fun Friday #100 - 2016

Happy Aloha Friday
&
Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you had a fabulous time celebrating the new year last night.  I spent a quiet night at home after a long day at work.  I plan on crafting a little bit this weekend and hanging out with friends and family.   I hope you get to do the same.

Today's Lilo's Fun Friday #100, (wow is it really the 100th post already?!)  I thought I'd share this card using a favorite (of many) Sister Stamps images, Mei Lin, from the very first release.

This is definitely a CAS kind of card using a few of my favorite companies.   Besides Sister Stamps, there's the washi paper from Hanko Designs and a couple new MFT dies (stitched rounded rectangle & LLD stitched numbers).

Not sure if you know that Sister Stamps will no longer be producing any more stamps.  It's such a shame because they are some of thee cutest stamps around.   They rank up there with the best in my opinion.  Although I'm sure many of the SS fans are sad we should also be happy that they gave us some wonderful stamps to cherish and continue to use.  I know I will.

I don't normally have NY's resolutions but I saw this one online and thought it was appropriate.

Hahaha!!

Hoping this year brings everyone peace, joy, laughter, wealth, health, strength & many more wonderful experiences.  2015 was a great year and I look forward to...

with you all.  Since this is my 100th Lilo's Fun Friday post I'd like to do a small give-a-way. (US residents only)  I have a couple Sister Stamps in my stash that I'd like to gift to one of you.  I might throw in some other crafty goodies as I have a lot to share.  If you're interested leave me a comment and I'll pick one of you next Friday.

Mahalo for stopping by, have a blessed 1st day of 2016.

Hugs,
Lilo

25 Day of Christmas Challenge - Day 21

Hello!!

Oi!!  This is super late!  I've either been late here or on IG.  hahaha!  Today, I'm late here.  So I'll make it short and sweet for day 21 of the 25 days of Christmas challenge with Linda & Kathy with this sweet onesie Christmas card...

Hehehe,  I love this card!  It's super duper CAS.  I used the MFT baby onesie die for this easy peasy card.  A Santa sticker to go on top with some white stitching and a Ho*Ho*Ho sentiment.   I bought that designer paper from Hobby Lobby and was waiting for just the right time to use it.  This card seemed perfect!  I did something simple with the inside using a new MFT die and a new La-La Land Crafts club kit die.

The sentiment is an older AmyR one and I love how simple it is.  Totally love the simpleness of this card.  I hope you do too.  Hope you're all enjoying the countdown to Christmas.  I certainly am going a little bit wacky, but so loving it.  If only I could be off from work like all the school kids.  That would be perfect!!  hehehe!   Thanks so much for popping in!  See you tomorrow!

xoxo,
Leanne

Aloha Friday Challenge Mid-Inspiration

Hello!

Today I'm joining the second half of the Bees in sharing some mid-inspirations for our current challenge.  Pop on over to the blog to see what other creative shares the other Bees put together.  They are totally cute!  Here's a reminder of the challenge details:

********
CHALLENGE #58 - ANIMALS
SPONSOR: BUGABOO
See the rules tab for more details.
Entries close at 5AM (Hawaii Time) on Friday, October 23rd.
Winners will be announced the Sunday after the challenge closes
********

I have two cards to share and both feature the adorable Lion Topper image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  The first one is a baby card...

I'm so happy with this one.  It incorporates some wet embossing and using some fun dies from MFT and La-La Land Crafts.  After stamping the polka dots on to the kraft cardstock I used white embossing powder to give it that really pretty embossed look.  Not sure why I haven't done this before, the white polka dots are so fun!  Will need to remember to do this in the future.  I used dark brown felt to cut out the rocking horse, it adds a really nice texture to the card.  I definitely had good fun with this one.

For the second card I made a Valentine's Day card.  It's pretty CAS and I used some elements from my extended amount of craft supplies.  Good to be able to use some of these older items.

Yep this is a pink lion!  Might as well go all out yeah?! ((hahaha))  I thought it was fun to turn this in to a Valentine's Day card, especially with the computer generated sentiment.  I was going to add a circle doily but found the heart one at the bottom of the box, I think it looks much better and it continues the Valentine theme here.

Well that's 5 different cards using the same image, not bad because now I have more cards to add to my card stash.  ((Yay))  If you haven't already done so, hope you can join us for the last week of this super easy challenge.  Remember you have until next week Friday to link up.  Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Aloha Friday, have a great day and a fantastic weekend!!

Coolest Holiday Greetings

Hello!!

I recently received the #29 release of Sister Stamps, and had a little play session with a couple of the new images.  If you haven't seen them yet pop on over to the Sister Stamps blog.  I couldn't wait so I placed my order with Hanko Designs.  I really enjoyed all the projects from the design team, they were all very unique and cute!  I was inspired by all of Jenny's Christmas projects which is why I give her credit for my very first holiday card of 2015...  (Thanks Jenny!)

It's very CAS, went with some cream colored cardstock from Recollections and chose the Birch Tree cutting plate to make this winter woodland card.  Since the new Sister Stamps are peeking images I thought Bobo (left) and Pixie (right) were the perfect little critters for this card.  I used scraps of the same cardstock to make some snow drifts in the background.  The final touch was adding the stitched banner with the cute sentiment.  As soon as I took the picture I felt it was missing something.  Wasn't sure what, but then an idea came to me.  It needed something near the sentiment, so I stamped and colored one of the birds from the Misaki stamp set and added it to the banner...

Ahhh!!  It worked!  It's going to be good fun trying to figure out how to use all the other adorable peeking animals, but I'm sure going to have a blast trying.  Here are the supplies I used because there weren't too many.  (hahaha)

Supplies:
Sister Stamps: BoboPixie, bird from Misaki
Sentiment: AmyR for CC Designs
Taylored Expressions: Birch Tree cutting plate

Thanks for stopping by again!  Hope you're having a great Tuesday!

TBT - Amelia the Little Dreamer calendar

Hello!

I'm back with another calendar and throwback OA image.  This is Amelia from the OA Little Dreamer stamp set from the Greeting Farm.  Here is today's Throwback Thursday...

I used products from Hanko Designs which include the card bases, mattes and that beautiful washi paper.  The embossed sentiment is from an older AmyR stamp set.  Going with the same CAS design made this quick & easy to put together.  Yay!

Thank you for stopping by today, have a great Thursday!!

A Lovey Dovey Amelia calendar

Good morning!

Happy 2nd day of August!

I've decided to do 6 more calendars using the rest of the Amelia's from the Greeting Farms OA stamps sets!  Yep, might as well. (gulp! hahaha!)  I think this one is my favorite so far.  The sweet Amelia from the OA Lovey Dovey set fit right in with this origami paper that I've had in my stash for ages...

I know, I know it's August, but I took this picture on July 30th.  Isn't she sweet?  And I love that origami paper.  The colors are beautiful and the shapes are fun.  She fits right in.  Colored her with Copics and her hair was colored with the V90 series.  Love that shade.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and was stamped and clear embossed.

Amelia - OA - Lovey Dovey

Thanks again for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!  I will be back tomorrow for a fun Spotlight post with Kitty Bee Designs.  Until then take care!!

TBT - Happy Day Calendar

Hello!

For today's Throwback Thursday post I picked another way back when Amelia from The Greeting Farm OA Happy Day stamp set.  And guess what?!  I made another calendar with her.  hahaha!  I know, I know.  hahaha!  I'm slowly whittling away the big stack...

Each time I see her I always picture pink hair!!  Not just any shade of pink, but a light pink.  I think I pulled it off.  I colored the rest of her with greens, blues and yellows.  She is a doll and totally reminds me of a Harujuku girl.  hehe.  I used another of the washi papers my dear cousin SharGD sent to me and happy with another CAS result.  The sentiment is another Island Scrapbooking laser cut phrase which I colored to match her boots.

Hope you all have a terrific Thursday!  Thank you for stopping by!

My Favorite Thing Amelia calendar

Hello!

I've been having fun making up some mini calendars with my considerable amount of washi papers, 2015 calendars and the different Amelia stamps from The Greeting Farm.  Here's the newest one I've completed...

This is Amelia from the OA - My Favorite Thing stamp set.  I colored her with Copics, fun cut her out with a white border and glued her down flat for easy mailing.  That pretty washi paper is from the stash my cousin SharGD sent to me.  Let me say that she sent me a bunch of washi paper, so it will take some time to get through all of them.  I don't mind, it'll be fun to see what I can do with each of them.

Amelia - OA-MFT

Well nothing like a very short post to get the day started right.  Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!  Appreciate you stopping by!

Throwback Thursday - Y&FH postcards

Hello!!

Today's Throwback Thursday post features two discontinued images from Y&FH.  Both were added to two more postcards.

First up is Summer Fumi.  I paper pieced her top with a small piece of washi paper, love the pattern.  The sentiment is a combination of an Island Scrapbooking sentiment that I colored with Copics and an MFT stamp that I clear embossed.  Because I wanted to use these as postcards I did this to the back:

Looks legit right?  When I mail it I'm hoping to keep it in a plastic sealed bag, wonder if I need to put the stamp on the outside?  I'd really hate to have it ruined before it arrives at it's destination. =/  I'll ask my friend to ask her mom who works for the post office for advice.  Next up is one of my favorites featuring Summer Chuckles...

I love the colors on this one.  The sentiment is another combination of a laser cut word from Island Scrapbooking and an AmyR sentiment.

If I look at him sideways he looks a little like Kelly Slater!!  hahaha!

GIVEAWAY TIME!!!

Before I sign off I wanted to announce that according to Blogger this is my 1000th post!  Woo Hoo!

Unfortunately I have to add some rules to the give-a-way, but hopefully they aren't too bad. (Revised)

Throwback Thursday image day

Hello!

Going to try to give some neglected/discontinued older stamps some love by posting on what everyone calls Throwback Thursday.  Today I'm going to share another postcard with a Throwback TGF & Y&FH image(s).

Do you all remember this fun in the sun Anya?  She's from the Sunshine set that seems to be discontinued.  The sentiment is also part of the set.  I colored her with Copics giving her a tan, or sunburn depending on what you see, hahaha!  Do you see the surfboard peeking out from behind her?  Well that is also a discontinued throwback image from the Tiki Surf set from Y&FH.  Using Copic markers I doodled some flowers on to the surfboard.  The sentiment was heat embossed.  I loved the colors I used for the background and was glad I was able to use similar colors in Copics.  I think I have more than enough images to keep me occupied for Thursdays.  hahaha!  Thanks for stopping by!!

TGF Mermaids

Hello!

Hope you all enjoyed a nice and safe 4th of July.  It was quite loud and colorful in our area.  With the drought & mandatory water restrictions I'm very surprised the Governor/Mayor has not banned fireworks throughout California except for the ones that are displayed by professionals.  Just sayin'...

Continuing on with my water-color postcards I picked the mermaids from TGF.  This first one I colored the image back in May.  The second one I just completed today.  Both of these were fun to put together.  Keeping both CAS was the key.

I added the Island Scrapbooking laser cut sentiment with the MFT sentiment right below it.  Colored the Aloha with an ombre effect using two different Copic colors. I really like the background on this one, and that pop of pink gives it that fun element.

Here the colors are bolder, but still fun.  I'm so happy I remembered this mermaid, she's still one of my favorites.  The sentiment is also another Island Scrapbooking laser cut word that I colored with Copics.  Two more under my belt and I'm happy with them both.  I worked on more today so will be sharing them over the next few days.  Until then, enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by!!

More Underwater Fun

Hello!!!

Holy cow, it's July 1st!!  I cannot even remember what happened in June!  I wish time would slow down, because in no time it will be Dec!  Eep!!   Well I'm not inviting Dec in yet, let's just continue to enjoy July and the summer!  Here's the 2nd watercolor post card I made with the third turtle from Sister Stamps.  The stencil is the same, fyi the stencil is the same for all of the postcards, and I wanted to continue with the under water color scheme.

Sorry my photo skills for this one were way off!  It gets better, just wanted to show the single turtle...

I colored this one with Distress inks too, looks much better.  I also spritzed some water drops, it's a pretty cool effect.  Last was adding another sentiment from the same Jillybean stamp set and using clear embossing powder to make it shiney.  I love the white border, makes it look like a snapshot.

Before I sign off I wanted to give a shout out to Sister Stamps!!  Hey ladies, congratulations on another amazingly kawaii release!!!   If you didn't notice yet, Jenny and the DT have been sharing the new adorable summer release images and I'm planning to head over to everyone's blog to catch up.  If you missed out head on over to the Sister Stamps blog.  I'll be back soon to share the rest of the postcards with my pre-colored images.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday - Sitting Lovely Anya

Hello!!

How's it going?  Yep I'm back today to share another stamp camp card.  This sweet birthday card was designed by Belia.  Another card to add to my birthday stash.  (yay)

Card designed by Belia Sardinha

Featuring Anya from the Sitting Lovely stamp set this card design was a lot of fun to put together.  I colored her with dark hair instead of the lighter color that Belia used, only because I have a lot of friends with dark hair so I try to stay in that color scheme.  This little girl reminds me of Wonder Woman because of her blue/black locks.  hahaha!  I love the white space with the touches of pink and blues.  Super girly indeed!!

Thanks again for stopping by!  I'm excited to be back again for another share soon.  Take care!!

Happy Father's Day!

Hey everyone!

A quick post to wish the fathers and dads in this world, and in the other world, a Happy Father's Day!  My dad is currently in Las Vegas hopefully having lots of luck in the casino(s).  Lucky for me one of my besties is rooming with him because she's there for EDC.  I believe this might be an annual thing for them.  I asked her to make sure she took my dad to lunch or dinner.  We'll celebrate when he gets back.  Before he left I gave him this card:

To me he's the world's greatest dad. =D  On the inside I used a few more AmyR stamps from the Father's Day stamp set.  On the outside I kept it very simple.  Using a fun Aloha print piece of patterned paper, kraft cardstock, a strip of corrugated scrap paper and a couple AmyR stamps really pulled this one together really quick.  Love it and love that paper!!

Here's a pic of me and my dad, Charles, a few years ago.  Don't we look alike?  hahaha!  Love this man!  =D

From our family to yours wishing you all a fabulous day!

Hello from Anuhea!

Hello!

I'm back today to share another card from my Sunday craft session with the stamp camp ladies.  This is card #2, designed by Kathy and my oh my it is cute.

Card design by Kathy Dinh

This makes me want to go out and buy a shave ice or a large ice cream cone!!  hahaha!!  This sweetie is Anuhea from Sister Stamps.  I had so much fun coloring her with bright colors to match that yummy bright paper.  Love how Kathy kept it CAS with the window and that simple sentiment.  I think of this as a "Hello" to summer card.  It definitely fits.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back soon with another share!  Have a fantastik day!!

Hello!

Hello!

I've been so busy at work that it messed with my mojo; which means I've neglected not only my blog but you. =/  I'll slowly make my way around and try to catch up.  Happy to say I found a little bit of it this weekend and will space out some projects I worked on with some helpful inspiration from some crafty friends.  Looking forward to sharing those projects here.  (Yay!)

For today I wanted to share a CAS card I made for a crafty get-together last Sunday.  My mojo was sorely missing so I re-created a card I sent to my swap buddy from May (SSS) thinking it was the perfect 5-minute card.  Plus it's a great way to get back in to the swing of things...

I used the following dies: MFT Dienamics Blueprints 20 & Lawn Fawn Scripty hello and the rest is from my stash.  I really wish I had taken a picture of everyone's card so you can see the different creativity that was flowing that day.  So much fun!!  I'll be sharing the rest of our projects, a total of 6 in all!!  And that translates to 5 more days of just posting.  Yay!!  hahaha!  I had a blast re-creating the projects everyone made which definitely jump-started my mojo, but most of all I got to share some fun and laughs with these wonderful ladies.  That's what Sunday was all about. =)

Before I sign off here's a fun picture of all of us at Kathy's house.  Thanks so much for hosting all of us crazies Kathy!!

L-R: Belia, Angie, me, Kathy, Donna, Linda, Jenny

Well this is as good a time as any to sign off.  I hope you're all doing well.  The few blogs I stopped by yesterday were truly inspirational, can't wait to visit more!!  Take care!!

Happy, Totes Anya - Back to Basics

Hello!

Today's share is another CAS card with some fun blue-green colors and the adorable Totes Anya from The Greeting Farm.

I decided that I need to go back to crafting basics if I want to give my mojo some kind of jump start. I find that when you are in a rough patch going back to the basics usually works.  So far so good.  (hahaha)  My goals for this card were simple.  Go with a simple layout (check); try to use up some old cardstock I haven't touched in years (check) and to try to have fun with the process (check).  Mission accomplished.  Now I can stick this in my cardstash and go on to the next project.  I'm gonna take it one day at a time...  Not such a bad goal.  Thanks for letting me ramble on!!  Have a great day!

From the Heart, Thanks!

Hello!

Hope you all had a very nice and relaxing weekend.  I had wanted to put up this card in honor of Memorial day, but didn't finish until late in the day.  Now it's almost the end of another day. (hahaha)  Better late than not at all right?  =]

Using the cool Sun Ray background & Many Thanks dienamics from MFT, plus a punched heart, I created this pretty cool Thank you card.  I love how quick and easy this was to put together.  Another pretty card to add to my stash and I'm thinking I could possibly put together a few more of these with different colors.  Hmmm... something to think about especially since my mojo is slowly coming back.  Yay!!  Thank you for the vote of confidence it's really heartwarming especially since ya'll are cranking out some major amazing cards.  You are all my motivation!!  Thanks! ^.^
