Hello!
Nothing like some rain to make you want to just roll up in a cozy blanket and not do anything! hahaha! Yes, much of California is being inundated with rain courtesy of El Nin-yo. We've also got snow on the mountain so for those who think it doesn't snow here it does just at a higher elevation.
So getting in to today's LFF #101 post on Saturday I wanted to share the only 2016 calendars I made which went to my mom's Monday Coco's group of friends. She totally wiped out my calendars so I had to buy some from a friend, thanks Kathy for your stash! I went with CAS, cute and decided to do an Asian theme. It's the year of the Monkey so a few monkey cards along with the ever cute Maneki Neko were perfect and neutral.
Ai ya sorry this picture is sooo blurrry!! I took more below, but these are it. Images, dies & sentiments are from Mama Elephants All Prettied Up, Lunar Animals and Lunar Extras. I also used one MFT die, Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop circle, black cardstock, and paper from the Far East stack from DCWV. Here's a closer look at each calendar/card with the monkey themed card up first...
Hehehe, the little hat is so cute. I guess I could have lowered it a little bit more on his head, nah looks just right. Such a sweet combination of images. The red envelope he's holding is from the Lunar Extra set. Lots of fun images in that set. Since these were cards I also did a simple message on the inside:
Here's the Maneki Neko cat card :
Had to look online to see what colors are used to color him/her. I liked this color combo the best. The Chinese characters says Happy New Year and a simple message on the inside with some falling sakura flowers...
I made 5 of each and my mom said everyone loved them. Woo Hoo!!

I placed an order for more calendars because I had a few requests from my co-workers. Thinkin I can maybe make a few dollars to support my habit, I mean hobby. (hehehe)
Now on to the winner of last week's LFF 100th post, thank you to Jenny W, Lynn, Denice & Heidi for commenting. I wish I could give you each something, so guess what?! I will! Congratulations ladies! If you all live in the US you all qualify. Please email me your snail mail: quikhonu34@yahoo.com and I'll get your goodies in the mail within the next couple weeks. If I already have it you'll get it sooner.
Well looks like I'll be doing a little coloring and making stuff for meet ups with some of my crafty friends who are in town for CHA. No I'm not going to the show but doesn't mean I can't meet up with them outside the arena. Hope to have some photos to share. Until then, have a fabulous weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Leanne
