Ok now that all the important stuff is out of the way let's get on to the fun stuff!  Here's my project featuring Frankin Owl, and his family wishing you all a Happy Halloween!

Had some fun creating a spooky cute scene with Frankin owl.  After printing him out 3 more times I used Copics markers to give them each their own identity.  It's my very own little Frankin owl family.

The background is a MIC digi which I colored with Distress inks and used my cloud stencil.  The kawaii tree is from the Cricut Create a Critter 2 cartridge.  I used a wood stamp to add more details and went over him with Distress inks too.  The picket fence is from Whiff of Joy and the grass is actually an icicle border from CC Designs (CC Cutter).  Last was adding the Happy Halloween sentiment up top, which is from AmyR for CC Designs.  Here's a close-up of the family....

I hope you enjoyed my share today.  Your next stop on the hop is Elina's blog.  I bet she's going to make you squeal with her reveal.  Don't forget to leave a comment before you go.  I hope you have fun with the rest of the hop and don't forget to pick up some of the new stamps that are in the Etsy store right now.

Totes Anya, Cute

Hello!

How's everyone doing?  It looks like it's been ages since I've last been here!  Hope you're all doing well. I'll be hopping around to see what everyone has been up to over the long weekend.  Today I do have something new to share.  It's another future 2015 calendar featuring a new TGF stamp, I'm pretty sure she's exclusive.  Hopefully they'll release her in to the store, she's awesome and very CUTE!  Meet Totes Anya!

I added a little bit to the top of her dress to make it look like a sleeveless one.  Normally she looks like this...

Yes I was one of the lucky ones to receive not only the stamp but this sweet tote and 12 other stamps for the low price of $75.  I only had 2 duplicates and all new ones (to me) so I'll have a blog give-a-way soon for the two that are duplicates.

I used a pretty piece of colorful chevron sheet of colorful paper from American Crafts, love this one, and in this shot you can see the Say It with Crystals from Prima Mkt.  Kept this one CAS which happens to be my style right now.. hahaha!

I have another post coming up tomorrow, it's going to be a pretty good one, hope you'll come back. For now Thanks for stopping by, have a terrific Saturday!!

HG Rain calendar/card

Hello!

Ever color up an image, then put it aside, totally forget about it and as you're looking for something you come across it?  Well that's what happened to this image.

This is HG -Rain from The Greeting Farm and I think I colored her sometime last year!!  I had initially started to keep the project as is above, but thought it was missing something.  I looked to my paper stash for some inspiration.   I have tons of patterned paper and this particular one seemed to grab my attention.  So I cut some of it down but was left with a large space to fill and then I was inspired to turn it in to a calendar/card.  Here's the final project all done up...

Ta-da!  hahaha...  I've been having a good time making these.  It's also helping me to use up some older materials.  I cut some of the poppy flowers down and popped them up in some strategic places. Using my Perlen pen, I added "raindrops" all over the place.

Above is a side shot with a close up of the drops on the flower petals.  I used my Wink of Stella glitter pen to color over all the flowers.  It looks prettier IRL.

And how about some rain on HG-Rain?  I also added that small poppy flower to her lapel.  I love how this turned out, mostly because my image was already colored (score) and I only had to come up with the rest of it.  (hahaha)

Oh how I wish Marie would sketch up some new HGs, these were one of my favorite TGF lines, next to the Wild Sprouts.  I'll cross my fingers.  For now, I'll say see ya later and thanks for stopping by!!

Keep calm and Party on

Hello!

Hope you all had a nice weekend.  One of my best buds from high school celebrated her birthday on Thursday.  Lately she's been in to attending raves and those all night outdoor dance parties.  For her birthday card I wanted to do something that fun yet CAS.  Too bad they don't have glow in the dark paper cause that would have been awesome!!  I think next year if she's still raving I'll look in to getting some glow in the dark markers.  (lol)  Here's what I came up with, would this be considered CAS?!

Oh boy how about some color, sparkle and some fun chevrons?!!  This one was a lot of fun to create. I went to the Glitzy glitter cardstock stack (DCWV) for this one.  This stack has gorgeous colors and the cool thing is the glitter is nice and soft.  If you run your fingers over it you won't suffer cuts from it.  Love this paper pad!!  That sentiment was stamped on to a smaller white glitter piece with Tsukineko Versafine ink in Tuxedo black.  For future I'll need to heat set this, because the ink doesn't dry fully on the glitter paper.  I matted the sentiment on to some black cardstock.  The chevrons are different sizes and colors thanks to my MFT die.

On Friday Jackie & I met up with my cousin Suzanne and her son Hunter at Disneyland.  Her husband and other son Alec met us later that day and then for dinner we went to Story Tellers Cafe where we dined with my cousin Chuck & his fiance Chris.  Here we all are right before we pigged out at the buffet.  It was an awesome day and evening.  Well time to say goodnight, I hope you all have a really terrific Monday and as always thanks for stopping by and leaving all the kind words, they inspire me to keep creating.

Aloha Friday Challenge #30 - In the Garden

Happy Aloha Friday!!

Today starts a brand new Aloha Friday challenge at Kitty Bee Designs!

In the Garden

Your project must follow the theme.  This one is definitely easy-peasy.  For more details, head on over to the blog.  This week we're excited to have our challenge sponsored by:

The Bees & I were lucky enough to receive a few images to showcase, please make sure to stop by the challenge blog to see what my teammates came up with.  They are sure to bring a smile to your face and give you tons of inspiration!!  Today I get to show off Sunbell - Precious Wings.  Oh but please be very quiet we don't want to wake her up...

Oh my talk about adorable!!  This image was the perfect one for my card and this challenge theme. This is another baby card and it's exploding with some bright colors!!  I chose yellow, orange, and green as my color palette to go with a summer theme.  The blooms look like she's nestled right in the middle of a garden.  Oh man I stressed about this one for a while.  After much deliberation I ended up taking a bunch more leaves and flowers away.  Now it definitely looks like she's "in the garden".  Here are some pictures...

Using a white pen I added polka dots to the orange flowers and buttons.  It was really nice to use up some older Prima flowers for this card. After everything was glued down I added some water dew drops using my transparent pearlen pen.

The banner is part of the TE Party banner cutting plate.  I ran it through my Cuttlebug with some scrap white paper and trimmed off one of the banners.  I handwrote "Sweet" inside and stamped two daisies with MFT lemon drop ink, I also distressed it a little with some orange ink.  Here's a shot of the inside of the card featuring a couple of baby sentiments from AmyR.

Another close up of the adorable Sunbell and you'll see some of the dew drops created using that awesome pearlen pen.

Well folks it's time for you to share your "In the garden" projects with us.  Make sure to follow the directions posted on the blog, we wouldn't want you to be disqualified. Thanks a lot for dropping by to see my latest project.  Hope to see you playing in our challenge.  Have a great Aloha Friday!!

Birthday wishes - Posh

Morning everyone!!

Today's card was created because my beautifully talented cousin, Shar GD, wanted me to show her how I color black hair on a Stamping Bella image.  I recommended some blogs and websites to check out but she wanted me to share how I color black hair so being the best accommodating cousin that I am (LOL) I dragged out my Bella's and found one that was pretty close to the one she had, Uptown Girl Posh.

Trying to go by the waves in her hair I added some color.  It's super hard on this image because the image itself is small.  So I had to use the very tip of the marker's brush and go slow and steady.  I left a little bit of white space here and there. Then I went in with a lighter color and filled in.  I colored in the rest of the image and here is the finished coloring...

I thought a nice bright fushia with an offset of black would make for a fun color combo.  For the gifts how about my version of a Tiffany blue?

I kept the card truly CAS.  I only added the sentiment that comes with this gorgeous stamp and mounted it to a card base that matched the gifts. Because this was a party dress I had to give it some sparkle so out came my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to do the job and boy I'm so happy that you can see it in this shot below.  Chee-hoo!

This was a fun image to color up!  Making it in to a single layered card was perfect and quick.  I guess it's easy when you don't add to much to it.  My kind of card!!  hahaha!!

That's all for today, wanna say thanks for stopping by and thanks to Shar GD for asking!  Have a fabulous Monday!!

LFF #78 - Altered Clip Board

Hello!

Please continue to pray for Hawai'i, they are getting the brunt of the storm right now and it's not getting any weaker.  Please pray that the storm slows down and that everyone stays safe. Mahalo!!

TGIF!  Another long week at work comes to an end, hooray!!  I'm planning on enjoying the time off. Now I don't have any new projects to share, but I do have one that I know I haven't shared. This was from a swap I participated in back in June, I think.  (haha sorry can't remember)  It was an anything goes theme so I wanted to do something out of the ordinary.  This is definitely out of the ordinary for me...  Here's my Lilo's Fun Friday #78 share.. An altered clipboard...

This is an altered clipboard from the $1 section at Target.  I think I could have sold this for more than a $1 right? lol...  Darn I wish I had taken a picture of the clipboard before I altered it so you could see the big transformation.  It was yellow & gray with geometric designs on it and the clip part was also gray.  I used a bunch of Prima, Recollections, Echo Park, Bo Bunny & Viva Decor products here and all were from my supplies.  Well except for the Julie Nutting doll, that was a new purchase at the time.  How about some pictures?

I covered the clip part with Viva Decor 3D Stamp paint in Walnut Brown metallic, which looks so much better than the light gray.  Here you can see some flowers and the pretty black and cream bow.

A close up of the other side featuring more Prima, Recollection and Bo Bunny products, and a peek at Mindy.  How about a closer look at Mindy?

Had a bit of fun coloring her hair with black first and then going in with a dark reddish brown to give her some reddish hair.  Paper pieced her outfit and hairband and used some gray markers to add some shadows. Her skirt was layered with 3-D dots to make it look poofy.  This paper is from Echo Park.

Here's a shot of the picture frame and other goodies from Prima, Recollections and Bo Bunny.  I used a Sizzix polaroid die for the picture frame with some Prima paper.  Before popping up the frame with 3-D dots I added a clear plastic bag with the open slit on the side in case she wanted to add a picture she could or leave it as is.

A close up of the random flowers and wooden embellishment from Prima & Recollections.  Glad I was able to use up some of these older pieces that I had been hoarding!  (hahaha)

Going to the flip side of the clipboard, I used another piece of Prima cardstock to cover the back and then using the same 3D walnut paint I tried to give it a distressed look.  I went with the more is more concept here... lol!  oh, well at least it's metallic paint so it's nice and shiney. lol

This was actually one of those projects that drains ya... hahaha!  Do any of you have that kind of drain after a stressful project?  Please share!  I stress out with the flower placement and other vintage/shabby chic things.  I'm so not that type of crafter, but I have to say I am super happy with how this turned out and I know that the recipient loved it.  It was really hard to let this one go, but I knew it was going to a nice home.  Okie dokes folks, hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a terrific weekend.  Thanks a lot for stopping by!

Just a note ~ Wild Child Fox

Hey everybody!!

**I was blessed to see this project on the Wow'd Me Wednesday post at TGF!

I want to give a quick shout out and send a huge prayer to my ohana and friends on the BIG ISLAND & the other Hawaiian Islands as they await the hurricane/tropical storms.  Stay safe and stay strong!!

Today I have another calendar/card combo for another co-worker who's last day was Wednesday.  It's so sad to say good-bye but when the job isn't working for you then it's time to say adios!  When I first met Matt I thought to myself a real life anime character works here!  hehehe! BTW, in my book I think that's awesome!  So when I thought about what I would make I thought it would be fun to go with a fun image that wasn't necessarily an anime character but you would probably see at an anime convention.  While I was wracking my brain over this I just happened to be looking for a punch when I came across my untouched Wild Child stamp set from The Greeting Farm and a light bulb went off in my head!

I have always loved the Wild Sprouts and was sooo happy when this set hit the store!  I guess you could say I saved this one for a good reason.  Getting to this card, I picked fox colors and had fun coloring him up!  I pulled the colors for the rest of the card from the colored image.  The papers are from last years Recollections Haunted Manor Halloween stack, but I thought some of the papers could work for a non-Halloween project.  The card is a bit bigger than the normal A2 card because the image itself plus the calendar totally dominated the base.  Used the TH postage stamp die again.  Here's a couple close-ups...

Made this banner free-hand, and used the TH postage stamp die for the top part.  After distressing it a bit and gluing it down I punched two holes and looped in the mandarin & white twine.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches...  Here's the inside, thought a simple thanks was in order for all the help Matt gave...

Yep, thanks to this card by Sister Stamps owner Kiki Sakamoto which enabled me to buy that Winnie & Walter sentiment stamp set.  It's actually pretty awesome!  I anticipate many uses with it.  Thanks Kiki!!

This was so much fun to make, can't wait to ink up the girly Wild Child next, hopefully not as a going away gift but for a happy occasion.   Until then, have a great day and to my Hawai'i peeps stay safe, will be praying for a safe passage for you folks!  Mahalo for stopping by!

Happy Birthday David!

Hello!

Sunday was my younger brother's birthday.  I usually give him a card with something to do with basketball, I ran out of ideas then thought about giving him a card with something that he loves.  His shoes!!  hahaha!!  Yep, he loves his collection of basketball shoes.  He's always sporting new ones sometimes stalking the sites to make sure he gets the newest ones, usually Jordan's, before anyone else can get them.  Needless to say my dad has benefitted when he doesn't want them anymore.  Darn I wish we wore the same size.  hahaha... So I went online to look for a digital image and found a cool one from Yes Coloring.  Here's what I came up with...

Now I don't normally get giddy for birthday cards, but I really couldn't wait to see my brother's face when he opened the envelope.  His smile was huge!!  hahaha!  I don't think he was expecting it.  hehehe!  Yes, it's hard to pull one over on him.  The only thing he objected to was the red on the sole of the shoe.  Eh!  Oh well, I think there could be a Jordan with a red sole somewhere...  If not, he'll have the only one.  hahaha!

Another birthday in the can, hopefully I can think of something cool for next year.  Maybe two shoes instead of one?  lol!  We'll see how it goes.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Have a great day!
