Spotlight Sponsor... Di's Digital Downloads

This week's Sponsor Spotlight over at Lollipop Crafts is

Di's Digi downloads

Owner and designer,  Diane Carubia creates the cutest images that take me back to my childhood.  Whimsical and just darn cute is what I saw when I looked around her site.  I know you will all enjoy her images.  Here's a little background on how she got started:

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I know work as a medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4 years ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but i'm afraid I got the bug! My daugther preffered scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people. I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so i started to draw myself.  This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images and it's just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful work of art. Long may it continue!

Being able to draw and draw well to create some really terrific images and scenes is to me, pretty awesome. :)

This week's challenge is to use brads or eyelets on your project.  We've all got them in our stash and now is the time to bust them out.  This week's winner will receive his or her choice of 5 digi images or 3 clear stamp images. That's awesome!  Pop on over to the LPC blog to see what the A & T teams have come up with.

Diane was kind enough to let us pick an image to use for our spotlight.  Here is the image we got to play with , it's a cute little scene called "Butterfly Cookie."

Now how to incorporate brads and eyelets to this scene might seem pretty challenging yea?  Well here's what I made and boy I really love how it turned out.  Hope you like it too.

Wanna Play?
Since the scene was the focal point I didn't do too much to it.  If you look around you'll see a couple ladybugs and another butterfly flitting around.  Those are eyelets that I bought a looooonnnngggg time ago, and have always wanted to play with.  I added the dots to their bodies and drew in the legs and head.  Same with the butterfly, drew in the white dots and then the rest of the body.

Added clouds to the background and some grass.  Framed it out with black and that fun bright checkered SEI paper.  The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm's retired sentiment stamp set.  I used tiny bitty brads from Stampin' Up that I also purchased a loooonnnnnggg time ago.  I just love those guys, they are so small, but really cool.

Well that's all for me, now don't forget to play along with us this week, I mean for a chance to win that amazing prize?  Come on' sounds like a no-brainer to me.  :)

Mahalo for stopping by.  Have a great day!
Hugs,
Lilo
