LFF #45 - A CAS Lilo's Fun Friday

Happy Aloha Friday Everyone!!

Hope you all had a good week.  Glad the week is over and hopefully today will just fly by.  I am so ready to start this weekend!!

Today's Lilo's Fun Friday #45 post probably won't be too long.  But I do have something to share.  It was one of my co-worker's birthdays this week and I didn't have time to make her a card.  Now I know I have tons but wanted one that was cute, simple and all I had to do was add a sentiment.  I went in to my stash of Sister Stamps cards and pulled this one out.  Score!!

Not sure if you remember, this is one of a set of circular cards I made for the November SS release.  The only addition was the gold circle with the handwritten Happy Birthday.  This card features the adorable Miyoko.  I love how this card turned out to begin with.  Definitely a CAS card featuring a really adorable image.

Don't forget tomorrow is the last day to join our current Yumi & Fumi Handmade "Bring the Bling" Challenge.  Get all the details here and hope you can play with us!!

Now let's see what can I do as a fun give-a-way for LFF #45?  I know, this is gonna be a hard one... Leave me a comment and let me know what you'll be doing this weekend.  Hard yah?!  hehehe!  I'll choose a random winner and post it on Monday.  Mahalo for stopping by!!  Have a wonderful Aloha Friday and a terrific weekend!!
Hugs,
Lilo

Lollipop Crafts Sponsor Spotlight

Hello!!!

It feels like a long time since I've gotten to post anything for Lollipop Crafts.  Today I get to share a little bit more about our new sponsor, Crafty Sentiments Designs.  They are sponsoring our current challenge which can be found here.  Now here's a bit about them.

Crafty Sentiments Designs was started in 2009 by Suzette Winch, the owner.  We carry our own brand of exclusive Rubber stamps, Digital stamps, Sentiments and cutting dies, perfect for all your scrapbooking and card making.

Last week Juelmarie and Joanna showcased some images from Crafty Sentiments Designs on the Lollipop Crafts blog.  This week Dena and I are showcasing some of their other images.  Be sure to stop by Dena's blog to see her adorable card and leave her some crafty love.

Now I know Halloween is over and done with, but I had to share this Halloween inspired tag in keeping with the current challenge on our blog.  I used the adorable Annabel the Witch.  Doesn't she look like she's enjoying that slice of pumpkin pie after a hard couple of hours of mopping?  Too bad she doesn't have that special power like Mickey Mouse in Fantasia where the mops do their own thing. (lol)  I colored her with Copics and the glow you see around her is all Distress inks.  The sentiment is a handwritten one and pretty funny if you ask me.

Don't forget to link up your Halloween projects here.  You've got a few more days to play.  Crafty Sentiments Designs will be giving one randomly chosen winner 3 digi images.  Sweet!!

Alrighty, time for me to hit the hay.  Mahalo for stopping by!!! Have a great Wednesday!!

Season's Greetings

Hey Everyone!!

Thanks to those of you who played in my LFF #44 Latte challenge last week.  I used the word "latte" 10 times in my post.  There were 3 of you who did try to guess so I picked a random winner and it was Kathy!  Thanks again for playing and check back on Friday for another chance for a little something from Lilo. :)
Poppin' in to share a Christmas card where I used Wryn the Royal again.  I saw the newest challenge over at Tiddly Inks and tried my hand at it.  Hope I did Lou's sketch justice...

This is a 4x4 card if you can believe it.  I printed out a couple Wryn the Royal images to this tiny size to use for Madison's gift, but ran out of time to use them.  She was easy to color up pretty quick and I had that paper sitting on my desk, just had to grab the ribbon, twine and gems and put everything together.  I didn't have a small enough sentiment to fit on to the tab that wouldn't be covered by the heart/ribbon so I hand wrote it in.

As you can see I went with a pink and green theme.  Not your typical Christmas colors, but I couldn't resist that small scrap of pink snowflake paper I had from last year.  Doesn't she look fun with pink hair?  Yes, I did add a little bit of sparkle to her dress and crown, after all she is royalty. (hehehe)  She reminds me of an anime character with her pink hair and ball gown.

That's all for today.  Mahalo for stopping by.  I always appreciate the kinds words you leave me, they make me smile.  Hope you all have a lovely day!!

Leanne

A Royal Birthday Card

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I went to my friend's daughter's 4th birthday party.  Boy do they know how to throw a party!!  They always have, it's just their thing.  With lots of kids, a big gigantic castle jumper in the back yard and lots of crafts for everyone, yes even the boys were getting crafty making shields, everyone had a great time.  Madison's birthday theme was Princess and Knights and of course she was her Royal Highness.  When I was thinking about her card I wanted to keep it in the same theme.  I knew the perfect images to use and they were both from Tiddly Inks

I used Wryn the Royal which includes the cute sentiment, and Castle in the Clouds which is one of a set of two.  When I pictured how I would put this together I saw the castle in a frame behind her with lots of pink, glitter and hints of lavendar.  The flowers on the bottom are chipboard pieces from the Disney Princess pack I bought a while back from Joann's, they were perfect for some fun accents.

I had a lot of fun with this card and can see myself using this little cutie pie and the castle again and again.  If Christy decides to make her in to rubber I'm gonna grab her up.  (hehe)  Have a great day and Mahalo for stopping by!

LFF #44 - Happy BeLATTEd Bday!

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!!

Boy, it's been one of those crazy weeks!!  But Friday is here and lots of fun stuff happening this weekend for me.  Hope you all having something fun going on as well.  Today's post is latte, but work keeps me too busy to do anything like I used to do.  Anyhoos I wanted to share my Happy BeLATTEd Birthday creation for Kathy.  It's only 1 month and 1 day latte!  Here's my share for LFF #44...  Be sure to read all the way through, who knows I might be giving something away...

It's a themed birthday present with a latte of the featured character, Latte Anya from The Greeting Farm!  When I purchased her I knew I had to make something themed for Kathy who loves her coffee.  She has tons of coffee mugs so I went a in a different direction.  I found a good selection of coffee themed items in the Target $1 section a few months ago.  I grabbed her some stickers, pens and this cute mini tissue box.

I couldn't resist inking Latte Anya a second time, so here she is on this CAS card.  I used punches to create the circle with the heart in it to mimic the one on the cup and the sentiment is handwritten.

I really couldn't stop there, I had to ink Latte Anya up one more time and added her to a candle.

Note to self, next time use black ink and darker colors to make it a bit more vibrant.  (lol)  I used vellum paper this time instead of tissue paper.  Although it was great to use the colors really didn't blend very well. Will keep practicing and find that happy medium where it all works together.  But all-in-all it still turned out cute!  Here's a shot of the back of the candle with the signature circle and heart.  Me likey, might use it again.

The candle smells so good!  Coconut something, but after awhile it was overpowering.  Added scrap paper to the bottom and a pretty bow which can be easily removed if she decides to light the candle.  A latte to share in one post yea?  Well I couldn't resist.  You're all lucky I didn't take pictures of everything I got her!  Now I'm in a good mood so if you can tell me how many times I used latte in my post you'll get something fun from me.  I will post the winner on Monday.

Mahalo for reading all the way through.  Have a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs,
Lilo
