We're having another fun challenge over at the Lollipop Crafts blog this week and guess who's late in posting? Yep, that would be me! Well I hope you won't hold it against me! I made another bookmark, because you can't have too many. I found this really cool anime girl in a school outfit that was perfect.
I colored her up with greens, dark grays, blues and pink! Yep, I've been itching to color up some pink hair and this was a perfect image to do that. Her name is Tohru Honda and the lineart is by Sureya. I just love all of Sureya's sketches and lineart. They have that awesome anime/manga feel. Too bad I can't color as well, but I'm still practicing. I think I'll purchase Zoe's series of coloring tutorials. I seriously need some help! lol..
Anyhoos, I thought it would be fun to trim the image narrow so that her flowing hair goes off the edge. Matted the image to a piece of black cardstock and see the ribbon on top? Well I didn't have any black or green handy so I used my Copics to color one black and one green to match her outfit. Pretty cool how you can use Copics to add some color to match your accessories and colored image. :)
