It's a TGF blog hop!!

Hey everyone!
Today I'm playing & hopping along with a "few" friends who LOVE TGF!  If you've stopped here and want to join the hop, head on over to The Greeting Farm blog and start from the beginning.  There are two amazing prizes to be had but you have to go and leave a comment on everyone's blog.

For those of us who are posting we have a choice of two challenges (a holiday project or general TGF project or both).  I'm planning to play both.  I don't have any projects, but I do have two cards I created for this day.  I'll keep it short cause I know you have more fun and inspiring blogs to hop to.  First up is my Christmas card.  I used the beautiful Miss Snow Anya.  Colored her with classic red and greens and added some fun red & green dp plus some black cs for contrast on a white card.

For my general TGF card I created a graduation card for my cousin who just graduated this weekend from NAU in Flagstaff, Az.  I did a body swap, Boho Anya and Grad Anya.  It's very CAS, but then the image should be the focal point.  Added that fun dp to add a bit of a girly touch.

Alrighty, now head back to the TGF blog for the next blog to hop to..  Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the whole January release.  That's 6 stamps!!  Enjoy yourself and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Leanne

Hello

Well it's been a couple of days and I just can't stay away from my TGF stamps!  hahaha!  That is a happy circumstance for me and one that I hope to keep with me always.

I made this card for my co-worker Erica.  Her birthday was on Friday.  She loves to shop, especially for shoes and purses.  So I thought the perfect stamp would be one of the Miss Bags Anya stamps.  I did a swap and loved how it turned out.  Was looking fiddling with a layout and decided to look around for one.  I found the perfect one at the Deconstructed Sketch blog.  I'm so happy that I get to finally play in one.  Although it's not one for a prize I am still going to link it up.  If you haven't yet discovered Jen Shults' blog then head on over there and check it out.  She's got a sketch challenge each week and if you're ever stuck on a layout and need something fun to use you can always count on her.

Here's the sketch (#21) that I used:

Here's what I made using a wonderful Basic Grey patterned paper.

I flipped the sketch because I liked her positioned under the flowers and I love how the other side shows all the pretty flowers and the butterflies flying in the wind.  I used a white sheer ribbon so that you could still see the pretty flowers behind it.  The sentiment stamp is another one of AmyR's and I think it's just perfect here.
The butterflies are courtesy of my MS punch, and I used Viva pearl pen to accent it.  As you can see I'm still working on my pleats, this time not to shabby, but will definitely keep practicing.

Well Mahalo for stopping by.  I know I've been talking about posting a birthday candy and although September was my birthday month I just might do something for October instead.  Anyhoos, please keep coming back you never know when I'll decide to do it.  Who am I kidding, neither will I!  hahaha!

Hugs,
Lilo

WOW - Sketch # 11

Happy Hump day everyone!!  Hope you are all having a great week.

On behalf of the FFC Farmers, I want to say Thank you for your patience while the Galleria is getting fixed.  To get you up to speed, we are asking all of you to use the inlinks buttons at the bottom of each post to upload your project for each challenge.  We know the techs are working hard to get everything back, and want to say thank you to them also.

Today's challenge is a sketch by our awesome sketch-captain, Rachel.  Here's the sketch:

Head on over to the FFC blog to see what the DT has come up with.  I hear there are some kitties roaming around.  hehehe..

For my card I used one of the new Miss Anya Bags girls.

I tried my hand again at pleats, but I know forsure I definitely need more practice! hahaha!  I colored her hair using the BVs and you can't really tell, but the fun blue paper has stickles all around it.  This can be used for any occassion, even Christmas.  We'll see where it ends up.  More than likely with the rest of my un-used cards. hahaha..

Alright my friends, time for your to get sketchy.  Don't forget to upload your card using the INLINKS at the bottom of today's WOW post.   You have until next Tuesday, 12pm CST to link your card via Inlinks, unless otherwise noted on the blog.

Again, thank you so much for your patience.  You are all FABULOUS!!

Big hugs,
Leanne

Even though today is a holiday, there is no holiday off from fun challenges!  I'm the host this week for Monday's Farm Fresh challenge.  I hope you'll all be able to play along with this week's Mystery Monday case because it's definitely a fun card.   As I was going through the Galleria I purposefully went through this crafter's gallery.  She is such a big inspiration to me and I just love her style.  I chose Amy Young to case and went WAAAYYYY back in her archives.  I had never seen this particular card and thought it was cute and very creative that she made buttons out of the Fairies

Hi! by Amy Young

Now I know when she made this card she used the discontinued red rubber fairies, but how cool is it now that you can incorporate the clear stamp set as well?  WAY cool!  I love the CAS layout, how the papers and the buttons go so well together and look at how she incorporated the fairies into buttons.  Love it!  Check out the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see what fun inspirations my fellow DT sistas have for you.

Here is my card, I tried to keep it as true to Amy's card as I possibly could.  I did change it a bit by using some of the Miss Anyas including the gals from the new release, Miss Anya Bags & from an oldie but goodie, Miss Anya Hats Off.
Hello featuring Miss Anya Bags & Hats Off

I had so much fun making this card.  I used 3 different sized circles, a scalloped circle and a spellbinder 5-petal die for the buttons.  The dp is Fancy Pants Designs, Beach Babe.  I stamped the images on Neenah white and simply colored up the images using a single Copic marker (BV02, B01, Y28, G82, RV11).   I also did the same for the flowers.  The pearls are Viva Pearl Pen in cream, when they dried I colored them using a Copic marker.  The white thread is white embroidery floss.  I didn't have time to diamond glaze the buttons, but I will add that later.  I reinforced the white paper with chipboard so that when I eventually do it won't warp too badly.

There you have it.  Now it's your turn to to play along.  The Mystery Monday contest runs until Sunday, entries are due by 12 PM CST. The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF single stamp of choice, so good luck!

Please post your cards in the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays > Amy Young.

It's the beginning of September,  which starts the last couple of weeks for me as one of the first ladies to be asked to join the Farm Fresh Challenge DT, I hope you all have enjoyed my posts and found some inspiration.  I certainly have found tons in you.  Thank you for all your lovely comments and for all the support in the challenges.  Please continue to do so, because I plan to be a part of that always.  I also wanted to say a big MAHALO to my Team (Jess, Rachel, Tasha, Mama, Sparkle & Emily) for all their love and support and for always inspiring with their creativity and friendship.  I'm not gonna get too much mushier right now, I'm going to save that for later.

Mahalo for stopping by.
Hugs,
Lilo
