Sewing Faerie Marci SSS

Hello!

Today I have a fun share.  This is actually for one of my swap partners and it is way overdue!!  I hope she likes it and the goodies I am sending a long with it.

I decided to go with a bright color palette.  Always love the primary colors with the touch of black thrown in.  This is Faerie Sewing Marci from La-La Land Crafts and she is from the February club kit.  I have used all the dies from the kit as well as a couple of the stamps.  I also used some other dies including the flower die from the April club kit, open leaf flourish along with a couple MFT dies.  Each of the dies are really nice quality and the details they create are wonderful!  I love how these dies go so well with each other.  Here's a close up of the bottom part of the card...

I had fun with the button border.  I drew some fun flowers on some of the buttons.  I stamped the sentiment and cut each word then popped them on to the card.  You can still see the details on the buttons.  You'll see I made my own fabric to match the buttons.  The dp is MME 6x6 Happy Day paper.  The rest of the papers are all Neenah brand.

I had a lot of fun coloring her with Copic markers.  She's popped on to the spool of black thread.  Didn't think I'd have so much fun putting this together, but I did.  Well hoping my swap partner already received it and isn't too disappointed or upset that it's super late.  ((eek, no chance!))

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Time to Celebrate

Good morning!

Woke up and it was raining!  Yay!!  I know some of you don't need the rain but we sure do.  Hopefully it will continue for a few more days.  Lucky for me I don't have anywhere I need to be today.  So staying indoors while the rain pours sounds like a nice plan.

Yesterday was apparently World Cardmaking Day and I did squeeze in some time to make a card, not for this occasion but it seemed to coincide with the same day.  Here's the card I made specifically for my niece, Scarlet, who turned 1 on October 2nd.

Another card featuring fun La-La Land Crafts Club kit stamps and dies from the April & May kits.  The stamps are from the May 2015 kit as well as most of the dies.  This is Celebrate You Marci.  There is one die that I used from the April 2015, but most are from the May kit.  Papers are from the May kit, Recollections and Neenah.  I went with a purplish theme here and added some cream in to the mix.  You can also see a hint of the same layout here, just substituted the balloons, streamers, cake & gifts for the branches and flowers.  I colored Celebrate Marci with Copics (yes including her dress) and fun-cut her out.  It took me quite some time to figure out what to write inside the banner, there are only 4 flags, but right at the end it came to me.  I think it worked out nicely.

On the inside of the card (not pictured) I stamped Celebrate You Marci off the page with Concord Grape (Distress Ink) and will stamp a Happy Birthday sentiment with the same color.  I am really enjoying digging in to the club kits and just yesterday I got the September one along with some older stamps & dies from last years kits.  Can't wait to dig in to those.  If you're interested in the kits stop by the LLLC site, there are a few different plans you can sign up for, but if you want to spend the money and get the project kit I think it's worth it.  You'll still receive the dies & stamps but you'll also get the amazing projects Irina has dreamt up to create with the kit.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Spring Marci card

Hello!

Happy October!!  Popping in to share another AWEmazing La-La Land Crafts Club kit card.  This was the card project in the April kit featuring Spring Marci and a bunch of the beautiful dies from LLLC.

(You might notice that my card from yesterday looks similar to this one.  Well I used this layout for that card because I really liked it - "grin")  What I love about this card is all the details and the layout!  This is definitely an Irina card. So many details and all so pretty!!  It took me some time to complete this one, I worked on the layers first and then colored and fun-cut Spring Marci last.  Building this card was a bit of trial and error, but the result was worth it.  I have to say this set of dies are gorgeous and this Marci is soo darn sweet.  There are so many pretty pieces in this kit, love all the papers!!  Who knew?!  hahaha!  There are two more projects in the kit that I'll tackle at a later time, I  just wanted to make this card.  I think I'm going to frame it.  Not sure yet.  It's big enough to put in to a small square frame, will have to see.

I'm looking forward to going through all my kits and putting at least the cards together.  The projects are a bit involved, but worth it once you complete it.  All of the products in the club kit are pretty awesome and I love that I get them a year before they are released to the public.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you're enjoying some crafty time yourself.
