{Before I get started Jazzmom you are the winner of my LFF #48 give away!! Please email me your snail mail so I can get the prize out to you}
Good morning everyone!!
Today starts a new bi-weekly challenge at Lollipop Crafts. Thanks to everyone who played in our Thankful challenge, your creations were truly inspiring. Now it's time to start up the new bi-weekly challenge and for the next two weeks, challenge #95 issued is Happy Holidays. Show us your Christmas or other winter holiday cards, scrapbook pages or crafty gifts. This should all be fairly easy to do since most of us are doing just that, creating holiday winter projects. Head on over to the Lollipop Crafts blog to see what the teams are sharing today. Our sponsor will be showcased on Wednesday so make sure you stop by the Lollipop Crafts blog to see who it is and what the prize is.
Today I have a pretty fun card to share. I went shopping on Saturday and was able to pick up some dies, new dp and a pile of other crafty stuff that was on sale, yay for me! Here's my Holiday card featuring 3 new images from Yumi & Fumi Handmade's Winter 2012 collection. I call them the Yeti crew. Here's Yeti Yumi, Bob the Yeti and Yeti Fumi in this fun outdoor winter scene...
This is one of my faves! I have had these three sitting on my table waiting to be colored up and I finally got a chance to do it. I chose non-traditional colors that I have been seeing around blogworld, grays and bluegreens with some dark browns scattered here and there and of course white. The trees in the background is made of white felt and I used my new Tim Holtz Christmas tree die. I love it! The dp is the Winter Frost paper by We R Memory Keepers and I distressed it with a paper edger, and Distress inks Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo. The lacey bow on top is from Martha Stewart and I tied some bells with white floss to add to the holiday cheer. Speaking of holiday cheer, the sentiment seemed fun to go with this scene and it's from Paper Smooches. On the bottom underneath the trio are white branches which I thought resembled branches from the tree. And lastly I added those diamond stars to give it a touch of sparkle. You won't be able to tell {cause I barely do} that there is some glitter on the light bulbs.
If you'd like to purchase any of the Yeti Crew images click on each of their names above, those are direct links to the images in the Yumi & Fumi Handmade store. If you live in the U.S. you'll receive free shipping for any order $35 or over for the whole month of December.
Okie dokie, hope you'll be able to share your Happy Holiday projects with us on the Lollipop Crafts blog.
Mahalo for stopping by!! Have a great day!!
Hugs,
Leanne
