Our Angel

Good morning and Happy Saturday!! I hope you have all been well and I must apologize for not visiting. I will have to take a day or afternoon to come and visit, I'm so dissapointed that I haven't been to everyone's site, but I plan to calendar it and drop by soon.
For now, I have another fun frame to share. I made this one for one of my co-workers who is going on maternity leave and is having her first child. Can you guess the sex of the baby? Yes, a girl. :)
For this one I made using minimal coloring and lots of paper! I love the fact that it is a circle frame. I used the always adorable HG-Snuggle from The Greeting Farm. Instead of coloring in her outfit and the bunny I paper-pieced them. :) So much easier than coloring for a change. I love the papers I chose, and these were scraps from other projects. It's always nice to use up scraps, yea? I kept the rest of the frame simple with some awesome background paper, a bright flower and some pink & white polka dot chipboard. If I had thought about it further, I would have made the matching card into a circle, but when u are rushed you don't really think about those things. But it's ok, she loved it just the same. See:
So sorry the picture quality is so bad. Our Dining & Events room is not the best place to take pictures. Well everyone, I've gotta get ready for a long day. Heading to ref a volleyball tournament in 30 minutes and then after that... I'm heading to Magic Mountain!! A sweet ride...

It's almost time to leave for the day! Woo Hoo! It's been a very productive day for me at work. Lots of numbers and too much time sitting at my desk. I need to move! hahaha... I wish I was this little girl out on the waves just enjoying herself. To catch that perfect wave with a sunset in the background would be the ultimate in ending the day, yea? Sigh, since I'm not in Hawaii no can do. Plus I don't know how to surf so I would probably be under the water instead of on top of it. LOL!
I made this card for one of my besties who just had a birthday. She and I actually spent the day with my cousin at the happiest place on Earth last weekend. If you guessed Disneyland then you are correct! We also hit CA Adventure as well. It was so much fun. We visited the usual attractions but also did a lot of the kiddie rides which was perfect. No waiting in line for too long and I think we were feeling a bit nostalgic. And the best part was the Halloween decorations. I'll try to post some of the pictures next time.
On to the card. So was another fun but simple card. I used two TGF images and altered them to fit my vision of a little girl surfing on a fabulous set of waves in the sunset. I used surfer Ian and switched out his head with WS-Nahla. I colored in a cute top and made her necklace into a pooka shell one. My friend is always wearing her pooka shells. haha. I've used this set up before, but this time to give it a little drama I used some origami paper to mimic a sunset. I love this card and was very reluctant to part with it. O well, no worries she deserves it and I was happy to give it to her. I'll just make myself another one. :)

Sympathy card

Hi, I'm back for a really short share. Hope you are all enjoying your Wednesday doing something fun and productive. I am at work so one of those applies to me. :) (haha, it's definitely not the first) I made this card for my Uncle, via marriage, who's brother recently passed away. I inked up a couple Stampin' up images from the same set in Tuxedo black and stamped them on craft paper. I used a craft colored card and added some ribbons, for a simple and easy card. Wedding bells

Happy Wednesday morning. I've been trying to stop by everyone's blog, and slowly but surely I will find you. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments. I am so blessed to know you all. :) Now for my share:
This was a card I made for my mom. One of her co-workers is getting married and she suggested to the group instead of buying a card to have me make one for all of them to sign. I was pretty happy to accomodate them. I used a SU stamp that I have used in the past, some gray and white dp and the show stopper, a clear acetate frame with this really pretty black border. I know you probably can't see it, but I used Stickles to glitter up her dress. It's hard to tell with the acetate, but hopefully you can imagine it. :) The sentiment is one I've also used before. It's a rub-on from Making Memories. It's such a nice sentiment. Perfect for a newly wedded couple.
I had a lot of fun with this one because I didn't have to do much. For the inside of the card I decided to make it into a folder and used my spellbinders to make individual inserts so that everyone could write their own special message to the happy couple. (Sorry, but I forgot to take pictures of the inserts) They asked me to include their logo in the card as well so I asked my mom to print it on a clear label. I think I incorporated it perfectly on the inside of the card. :) On the opposite flap I stamped a really simple but poignant sentiment. For the inserts I used labels eight and I stamped a simple flourish on opposite corners.
I used the opposite side of the gray paper for the inside of the card. I love the dp, it's so perfect for what I wanted to do and I love how the white border image pops on the dark gray background. I believe this card will travel between three other offices before it is mailed out to the bride-to-be. I love how this turned out and I plan to keep this one handy for a fast wedding card. Buzzin' on by...

Hello blogging ohana. I've so missed you all. I hope to pop in to visit with you today. It's been such a long and tiring work week. It's just going to get busier with the holiday season approaching so will have to pace myself so I can craft, post and visit all of your lovely blogs. Today I have a frame to share, yay!
When my co-worker asked for a frame, I was jazzed. The last one I made was she asked me to make, so I was anticipating another fun one. This time the frame was going to a mutual co-worker of ours. His daughter is turning 1 so she wanted something fun to give as a gift. Since this was a last minute request I didn't have time to pop on over to Michael's. Luckily I had this huge frame lying around. When I say huge, I mean huge, it measured 11"x14"! I was fortunate that I had some white paper that would fit the frame and excess to cut off. Whew! :) The evite theme was bumble bees so I went into my treasure trove of wooden creatures and I found the perfect little bee. Now I needed the perfect stamp. I had a cute one in mind. The sweet Darby with her bumble bee friend, Bumbles, from the Sweet November stamp line. Ah, these two made the perfect pair on my project. Now that I had my images, I decided to go with lots of bright flowers with some fun brads. Of course I had to glitter up all the petals on the flowers, it would not have been any fun if I hadn't right? I love how it looks like Darby is smelling the flowers. So kewt! :)For the background I sponged yellows, light browns and oranges. Threw in a MS border which created a great dimension to the top and bottom of the frame and lastly I stamped a cute sentiment from SU on the back of some twill ribbon. The sentiment was just perfect! Used some pink acrylic letters from K*I memories, to spell out Karah, the baby's name. I thought it was kewt to add Bumbles on top as if he was looking down at her name. As you can see I went Bumbles crazy, but he was just too kewt not to put all over the frame. I colored him up to match the flowers but scattered him all over cause he seems like the kind that doesn't like to be in just one area. hahaha.
