WOW - Shades of purple

Hello Farm Fresh Family!!  Happy Wednesday, June 1st!  You know what that means?  New releases at The Greeting Farm, a challenge over at the TGF blog and a new weekly W.O.W. challenge at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  You'll have lots of time to play each challenge as well as purchase some real cuteness!
For today's challenge at the FFC blog, we are looking for MONOCHROMATIC cards.  What does that mean?  We're looking for cards using shades of one color.  Skin colors are acceptable, but most of the card should be the one color or shades of that color.
I chose to go with a color that I hardly use.  It happens to be a favorite color of a few people I know and definitely has different shades to it.  I chose PURPLE or actually shades of purple.  I went as light as lavendar to dark purple.  I inked and colored up Creeper Tuesday using Grape Jelly Memento ink and Copics (list will be at the bottom of my post).  Figured it would be fun to ink in something other than the usual black or brown. It didn't turn out too bad.  The pp (DCWV Once Upon a Time stack) I chose made this card very whimsical.  It was the only fun paper I thought would be a terrific pairing with Miss Tuesday, plus it was mostly purples just what I was looking for.  The fun part is the dark purple flying unicorn. I just love how he looks like he's coming in from a flight in the clouds. hehehe...

The rest of the card came together with ribbon, lacey ribbon, flowers and clouds.  I did use a bit of blue in the cloud area to match the pp and I used a lot of Stickles.  Here is a close-up of Miss Tuesday in her purple outfit

Alrighty, now it's your turn to create a monochromatic card for today's challenge.  You have until Tuesday at noon, CST to upload your card or project to the TGF Galleria>Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> WOW> Monochromatic.  Remember the winner is chosen by random draw and will win a TGF digi of choice.  Good luck!!

Mahalo for stopping by today and I hope to see you back soon. Have fun creating and I look forward to seeing your projects in the Gallery! :)

Hugs,
Lilo

Case'ing - Kim Yu!

Happy Memorial Day everyone!  I hope you've had a great weekend and are taking a moment today to remember the men and women who sacrificed for us and others.  We owe it to them to remember & salute them.

"Look for life's greatest TREASURES in life's most SIMPLE pleasures" ~ Anonymous

Today at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog, DT Sparkle chose to case a really cute card by the fabulous Kim Yu!!  If you haven't visited Kim's blog you should.  She has the most creative layouts and projects.  She's also a huge TGF fan.  I'm so happy to be case'ing her card and I hope I do it justice.  Here is her fabulous card using Flirty Anya

Isn't this card cute?!!  She did such a fabulous job with the layout and coloring.  And her bow!! Gorgeous!
Click here to see how the DT case'd Kim's card. For my card I actually case'd it except I did not pull out the sewing machine to stitch.  I created fake stitches which look just as real, well at least to me they do.  Everything else is pretty much as close to Kim's card as possible.  I also chose a pink and blue (turquoise) color scheme...
If you couldn't tell, I switched bodies and heads with Fancy Anya & WS Dee Dee.  This was a fun combination for me.  I knew I wanted something fun and flirty to match Kim's card, but I wanted to use an image that I hadn't inked up in quite some time.  Dee Dee is colored with Copics and the band on her dress is paper pieced using the same polka dot pp behind her.  Speaking of patterned papers, the papers on this card are from MME, Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink paper pad.  I thought this paper was very flirty and fun for my card.  The turquoise card stock is from Hanko Designs.  The black cs is from Recollections and the stitches were created using a black Copic Multi-liner pen.  The ribbon is from Celebrate It, a holiday collection that I purchased during Christmas at Michael's.  Lastly, the sentiment is actually an epoxy sticker from Cloud 9 Designs.
Alrighty, I hope you are inspired to join in the fun this time around.  Remember there are two ways to play.  You can either case the card like I've done or you can use it as inspiration for your card or project.  Make sure to upload your card to the TGF gallery by Sunday, @ noon CST for a chance to win a single image of your choice.  The winner will be chosen at random.  Upload your card to the Galleria>Farm Fresh Challenges 2011>Monday Case Mania> Kim Yu.

Mahalo for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful day and I'll see you back here soon. :)
Hugs,
Lilo

My Time... Gone Fishin'

Happy Sunday everyone!  Hope you all have been enjoying this long Memorial Day weekend.  I am up to my ears in crafting and apologize for getting my post up late.  So let's get to it.
When Irina and Eric debuted the new Summer Collection to the design team I was so excited.  So many cute images in so short a time.  When the new DT debuted each of the new images I was so inspired and awestruck with their creativity in bringing the new Lukas and Marcis to life.
So for my card today I chose Fisherman Luka.  I think he is so adorbable with his fisherman hat and fishing pole.  He's on vacation on his own tropical island and can't wait to get down to the ocean to fish for his dinner.  The background is a digi stamp from Make it Crafts and I thought it would be a perfect backdrop for Luka.

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple as I had that pretty cool background.  When I finished coloring Luka's outfit I waited till the last minute to color his hat.  I asked my mom what color she thought I should go with and the first thing out of her mouth was blue!  I was totally in agreement and glad I did.  It really contrasts with the rest of his outfit, but it also matches.  I really enjoyed working with him.  Here is a close up of this cutie:

You now have a chance to purchase Fisherman Luka or any of the other Summertime Collection at the NEW La-La Land Store.  And if you hurry over you can take advantage of the Memorial Day sale going on.  Click HERE for more details on how you can receive a 10% discount on all orders over $50.  Don't forget to upload your creation to the Customer Gallery.

Alrighty my friends, it's been such a blast creating and sharing my cards every Sunday for La-La Land Crafts.  Looking forward to the new Design Team, and all the changes that will be taking place.  I hope you keep coming back and getting inspired.  You never know when inspiration will strike!

Mahalo Irina and Eric for the wonderful opportunity to create with your wonderful images.  You both have a wonderful line and I am so happy to have been a part of it.  Looking forward to what happens next for you and your collections.  Mahalo to everyone on the DT for your support and inspiration.  And to the new DT, Congratulations ladies, I know you will rock and inspire us with your creativity.  I'm looking forward to it.

And to you lovely La-La Land friends, MAHALO for your lovely comments and for helping bring these cute images to life with your creations.   Until we meet again...

Hugs,
Leanne

4th of July in May

Happy Friday Everyone!
If you're still having issues with commenting on certain blogs, it might be the browser you are using.  I had been using Internet Explorer, but recently found out from Kim Yu and a few other blogging buds that Firefox would probably be better and it's free!!  Once I switched over and cleared the cache and cookies I was able to comment on the blogs that  I couldn't before.  Click HERE for the link to figure out how to clear those items.  Hope this helps relieve some stress and frustrations!
Thanks Kim and to the blogging buddies for your help! :)
Now on to my Farm Fresh Friday Challenge inspiration:

Hahaha, no, it's not July 4th yet, but for today let's just pretend it is.  Why?  Because today over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog we are having a new and fun challenge, create a card or project of your favorite HOLIDAY!  Whether it's Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine's or Halloween.  There are so many fun and favorite holidays to choose from.  To see what the ladies of the DT chose for their favorite holidays be sure to stop by the FFC blog or click HERE.  We would also love to know why you chose that particular holiday so make sure to leave us a little story when you post to the gallery.

I chose the 4th of July.  BBQs featuring hot dogs & burgers.  Fireworks of all kinds.  Friends and family getting together to celebrate Independence Day.  Why wouldn't it be fun?!  Here I have Twirl Anya in her Red, White & Blue outfit ready to celebrate the day.
I colored her up with Copics, and did the same with the pinwheel.  In the center of the pinwheel is a clear gem.  The background paper is from a very old paper pack from DCWV.  I think it might be a summer stack.  All the other patterned papers are from the same stack.  I used Jen Shults' Deconstructed sketch #2 for the layout.   The sentiment is from the Roll Call kit.

Here are the details for every FFF challenge:

  • The FFF challenge is open until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST. So you certainly have plenty of time to get started.
  • Use ANY TGF image
  • The winner will be chosen by Rachel or Jessica.

You're Something Special

Hey, hey, hey!!!  It's Wednesday and you know what that means?  Another fun W.O.W. challenge over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog!  Today it's time for another sketch by our Captain, Rachel.  It's a pretty fun one so hoping everyone will play.  Check out what the rest of the DT has done with sketch #4 HERE.

I've never used any of the beautiful seasonal fairies that Marie introduced a few years ago in digi form.  I printed out Summer Fairy for my card and colored her up with Copics and Stickles.  The rest of my card came together pretty quickly because I went super simple.

The sentiment is from the Special Autumn set.  Used Spellbinder circles for the black and white "frames."  Behind Summer Fairy I embossed the white cs with a pretty Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I added some black gems from Recollection as accents.  Lastly, I punched out two black butterflies using a MS punch.  The card itself is Tsugumi cs from Hanko Designs.  Here's a close-up of Summer Fairy:

Alright, time for you all to come and play in this week's challenge.  Here's what you'll need to do:
  • Use any TGF image (digis or rubbah, they all rock! )

Sisters

Hello my friends!!  Today it's time for another Mystery Monday challenge and I'm the host.  First off I wanted to wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Farm Fresh Face guest Lisa G.  She's one of TGF's biggest fans and if you haven't visited her blog you must!!

Happy Birthday Lisa!! May today be as wonderful as you are friend!!

For this week's Farm Fresh MM challenge card I chose Gio's fun and fabulous card featuring Oliver & Amelia (Just for You set).  I loved the simple layout with the fun paper the hearts and the lovely colors.

Now remember you can either case the card or use it as inpiration for your card or project.  To see what the DT has come up with for this week's challenge please visit the FFC blog, here

I chose to case Gio's wonderful card.  I love the layout and the elements she used.  I thought making a SISTER card featuring a younger & older sister would be fun.  First I had to choose my images.  I picked Creeper Sasha and WS Summer.  Thought these two would make the perfect sister combo.  I masked Sasha and tried to stamp Summer as close to her as possible so it would look like they were holding hands.
Next I had to choose the paper to compliment these two girls.  One of my favorite combos is light green and turquoise. I picked Bo Bunny's Back to Basics Flower Child patterned papers (Harmony, Hippy & Free bird).  The rest just came together using the same papers.  I used two 5-petal punches to make my swag banner on the top and the bottom.  I wasn't too sure of the color combo, but I think it turned out pretty cool.  Fun and bright.

Alright, ready to play along?  Don't forget! You now have two ways to play! You can either CASE Gio's card OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Meaning that you can make the same style of card, use the same colors, etc, just as long as we can tell that you got your ideas from the showcased card.

Here is a reminder of the rules:
  • Use ANY TGF image

  • You can either case the card or use it as an inspiration

  • Upload project to the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays > GIO by Sunday, 12 pm CST

  • Winner will be randomly chosen to win a free single TGF image.

  • HAVE FUN!!

  • Mahalo for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!!

    A simple birthday card

Hello La-La Land family! Hope you are all having a great Sunday afternoon. :)

I wanted to make a card for my co-worker's birthday and already invisioned using Chef Marci. She was the perfect image for what I had in mind. I chose a light color scheme; soft greens, peaches, oranges and white with a hint of yellow and brown. I altered her pants by drawing in lines to look like plaid and colored them up with the same light green and a hint of gray.

Because the dp (DCWV Linen Closet) was so sparkly I chose to use a very pretty satin ribbon in a light peach color tying a simple knot instead of a fussy bow and adhering it to a pretty mint green card (courtesy of Hanko Designs). Both pieces of paper were die cut using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles. It's always nice to make a card that doesn't have straight lines. I used crystal lacquer on the cake and the bag with the frosting to make it look like ganache.

Don't forget you can purchase Chef Marci along with her other friends in rubbah or digi form in the La-La Land Crafts store. Both types are wonderfully made.

Okie dokie, time for me to scoot. Make sure you upload your creations to the Customer Gallery to be eligible to win a free stamp of choice.

Mahalo for stopping by! Have a wonderful day and a fabulous week!

    Hugs,
    Lilo

    Summer Fling

Aloha Friday everyone!!  No I'm not in Hawaii, wishful thinking, but I don't need to be in Hawaii for an Aloha Friday do I?  Nah!  hahaha..  Over at the TGF-Farm Fresh Challenge blog we have our Friday challenge.  This one is a fun one.  Create a Summer Lovin' card or project using you guessed it, fun bright colors, things that make you think of Summer.  We want to see some hotness!

Need some inspiration?  Check out the design team's version of Summer Lovin' by clicking HERE.

Disclosure: I hope you have a little extra time to spend with me today, it might be a long one.  >.<

When thinking of Summer Lovin' and what I wanted to make, I immediately gravitated to two stamps: Fleur Anya and Surfer Ian.  I could totally picture these two having a summer fling in let's say... Hawaii?  I could definitely see that happening.  I tried my best to capture that romance on an easel card.  Here's how I attempted and accomplished it all.    ^.^

First we have Ian on his cool surfboard riding a big wave with the sun in the background.  The sentiment is from the TGF sentiments (sorry it's discontinued).  I stamped it on this dark kraft colored cs and shaped it in to a surfboard.  Ho, not bad, yea?  ^.^  For the sand I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it some dimension.

Here's a close up of Ian with his cool tan and highlights in his hair.  I like to think it's from being out on the ocean and under the sun all day long.
So I bet your wondering how am I going to incorporate Fleur Anya huh?  Well, here's the scene I created using her as a pop up.  It's like she's waiting for him on the beach dressed in his favorite colors, reddish-orange, and look she wrote something in the sand... "More than just a summer fling" within a sand-made heart...

Here's a close up of Fleur and her message to Ian...  BTW, I free-hand cut the "heart-shaped" sand message, thought it would look like she used her finger to draw the heart around the words.  >.<

And now a close-up of Anya herself

I just love how the blue ocean makes her hair and flowers pop!  Are you wondering how I got her to stand?  Well after two attempts I figured out how to keep her standing like a pop-up.  I took a strip of the kraft colored cs and folded it , cut a slit in the bottom of the card, measured her to make sure that she would fit comfortably when the card was closed and then glued it down.  Here is a side view:
Well what do you think?  Did I capture that Summer Lovin' theme and inspire you to create your own Summer Lovin' card or project?  I hope so.  Now here are the rules for all Farm Fresh Friday challenges:

    • The FFF challenge is open until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST. So you certainly have plenty of time to get started.
    • Use ANY TGF image
    • The winner will be chosen by Rachel or Jessica.
    • Winner will receive a free single TGF stamp of choice as well as a limited edition badge.
    • Please upload your challenge card/projects to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> Summer Lovin'.
I hope you all have a wonderful Aloha Friday and a terrific weekend.  Mahalo for stopping by! ; )

WOW a Black & White challenge

Woo Hoo!!  It's Wednesday and you know what that means?!!  Half-way to the weekend and better yet, another awesome challenge at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  Today's WOW is a color challenge.  Use ONLY BLACK & WHITE on your card or project.  Skin tones may be used but the rest of the card must be in black & white.  Click HERE to check out some awesome black & white eye candy from the fabulous DT.

I have been wanting to use some of those cute Chibi digis in the TGF store.  This was my chance since I just inherited an awesome printer from my bud, Renate'.  I decided to ink up the cute & fun Chibi Punk girl. Printed her pretty big so I could make her the focus of the card,.  I could picture her rockin' the black & white with ease.

I colored her with Copics and paired her up with my go to black & white dp from MM.  For the banners I hand cut and wrote the sentiment myself and created some faux stitching.  The border punch is from EK and I think it adds a nice border.

Alright, time for you all to come and play in this week's challenge.  Here's what you'll need to do:
    • Use any TGF image (digis or rubbah, they all rock! )
    • Black & white only, however other color acceptable is skin tones
    • Upload your card/project to the TGF Galleria>Farm Fresh Challenges 2011>Which  One Wednesday>Black & White
    • Contest open until Tuesday, 12 pm CST.
    • Winner will be randomly chosen and win a digital image of choice
    • Have fun!
Alrighty friends, have a wonderful Wednesday and hope to see your WOW projects flooding the gallery.

    You're Super Fantastic!

Happy late Monday!  Hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend.  As I mentioned last Friday I spent the weekend with my family as we celebrated my sister graduating from college.  It was a wonderful weekend.  I'm going to brag and show off my beautiful sister's picture here holding her pretigious Founder's award which is given to one graduate who is chosen by faculty based on GPA, community service, attendance and an essay.  She was chosen out of 45 students for this award and we were so very proud of her.

Mahalo for all your lovely comments on the card I made for her.  She loved it.  :)

Ok so on to this week's Farm Fresh Mystery Monday challenge...  This week Tasha chose this fabulously fun card from MARISKA

Click HERE to find out what my DT sistas chose to do with this super cute card.  You will be amazed at the different takes we each came up with.  I personally like this card because of the fun layout and the colors(ing). I took inspiration from the colors she used and turned them up a bit bright and kiddish for my card.

I chose some fun summer colored papers from DCWV (The Grade School stack) and mounted them all on some pretty blue (Sea Foam) Bazzil cs.  For my image I chose Miss Sunshine Anya who is wearing an outfit from (I believe) a discontinued Spring outfit set for my card.  The sentiments are from the discontinued Amazing Duo set.  I also used Spellbinders label three.
Alright, ready to play along?  Don't forget! You now have two ways to play! You can either CASE Mariska's card OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Meaning that you can make the same style of card, use the same colors, etc, just as long as we can tell that you got your ideas from the showcased card.

Here is a reminder of the rules:

  • Use ANY TGF image

  • You can either case the card or use it as an inspiration

  • Upload project to the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays > Mariska by Sunday, 12 pm CST

  • Winner will be randomly chosen to win a free single TGF image.

  • HAVE FUN!!

    Hey You!

Hey you!  Happy Sunday everyone!  Hope you have all been having a lovely weekend.  I'm spending the next couple days crafting with my buds, Renate, as we finish a project that's due in a couple of days.  Wish us luck! hehe

Today, I'm sharing Fancy Marci on a 4x4 card.  I took the inspiration from one of the make and takes from Winter CHA because I loved the simple design and I needed a quick card.  This layout can be used on any sized card, but since I was putting it with a small gift I thought it would be perfect.  The card I "cased" was created by none other than our wonderful designer, Irina, featuring Chef Marci and if you click HERE you will be able to see the card.  Here is what I came up with:

I colored Marci with Copics and used stickles to glitter up the bow, trim and her hairbands.  The dp is from one of my favorite matstacks, DCWV Linen closet.  The border punch is a MS, one of my favs as well.  The sentiment, from TGF, is stamped on a hand cut banner.  A brown button with a piece of twine accent the bottom of the card.

Mahalo for stopping by and if you are interested in purchasing any of the wonderful, color friendly images please visit the La-La Land store and pick some up today!

    Lilo

    FFF - Congratulations!

Sorry for the late post.  As you all know, Blogger was down for most of yesterday and just came back up.  So hopefully none of you went into withdrawals or got too upset about it.  Now that it's back to normal here's what I was going to post this morning, Enjoy! :)

Happy Friday the 13th! dun dun donnnn... hahaha...  Hopefully today is a gr8 day for everyone, but if you see a guy in a ski mask run the other way!!  Just playin'!  A little Friday the 13th humor.  : )

Today at the Farm Fresh challenge blog we are having a new contest and it's to create a congratulatory card/project.  Anything goes.  If you have a special grad, an anniversary, someone's promotion, ANYTHING  you want to congratulate that special person with we want to see it.  For more details and some inspiration from the FFC ladies click HERE.

My DS is graduating today from Nursing school.  It's been a wonderful process for her since she's transitioned from being in sales for over 20 years.  We are planning to drive up in a few hours and then spend the rest of the day celebrating her accomplishment.  I knew the perfect image I wanted to use for my card and the colors just came together as soon as I finished coloring her up.  Hope you like it:

I chose to go a bit girly here with pinks, whites and shimmer all on some brown cs.  I think Cheeky Nurse was the perfect choice for my card.  My sister is a bit cheeky, so it works.  Went with a very simple layout because of all the shimmer cs and that pink polka dot dp.  I used a MS flower punch and beautiful pearl accents.  For the sentiment I found inspirations from Kadie Ensley's card as I was in the TGF Gallery and I thought it was so appropriate, I hand wrote it myself.  The quote is from Henry David Thoreau.

I think on the inside of the card I'm just going to go very simple with the same white and pink papers write up the rest of the quote inside as well as my message to her.  So what do you think?  Will she like it?  I hope so.

I hope to see plenty of entries this week, since everyone should have someone to congratulate, yea?  Here's a reminder of all the details:
    • The FFF challenge is open until Thursday, entries are due by 12 PM CST. So you certainly have plenty of time to get started.
    • Use ANY TGF image
    • The winner will be chosen by Rachel or Jessica.

    • Please upload your challenge card/projects to TGF Galleria> Farm Fresh Challenges 2011> Farm Fresh Fridays 2011> Congratulations.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a terrific weekend creating.  Mahalo for stopping by!

    Sketch Wed @ FFC

Happy Wednesday! Today we have a sketch for you at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.

Click HERE to see what the DT ladies and our Farm Fresh Face guest designer Lisa Gobea have come up with.  You will not be disappointed.  Now here's my take on Rachel's sketch:

I slightly altered Fancy Anya.  Can you tell how?  If you guessed a hair trim you guessed correctly.  I wanted to give her two small ponytails with sparkly red rubber bands at the end.  Colored her up with Copics, and glittered her belt and hair pins.  I think I kept it simple by using one patterned paper and two embossed papers.  The sentiment is from the retired McSplendid Farm set and the ends were punched with the same MS punch I used for the border.  I kinda like how it looks.

Well you know what's next...  Your turn to play along.  Here are the details for the W.O.W. Challenge:

    • Open until Tuesday
    • Entries are due by 12 PM CST
    • Use ANY TGF image
    • Upload your challenge cards/projects to TGF Galleria > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Which One Wednesday > Sketch 3.
The winner will be chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF digi of choice!

Alrighty now it's your turn.  Let's see if we can get more creations in the Galleria this week.  Have fun with it!!

Mahalo for stopping by.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

    Because you can...

Happy Monday everyone!  Hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day.

Today is Monday, and you know what that means... Another fun Mystery Monday Case challenge over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  We are changing things up a bit, hoping to make the Mystery Monday CASE challenge a lot more friendlier.  We will still choose a card every week to showCASE, BUT now you will have two ways to play!  The first way is the normal case'ing of the card, click HERE to see what the DT has come up with.  The second way to play is to use it as an inspiration piece.  What does that mean?  You can make the same style of card, use the same colors, etc, just as long as we can tell that you got your ideas from the showcased card.  Our hope is that this small change will make it even easier for you to play, especially if you are "CASE challenge.

Here is Rachel's pick for this week:

Isn't this cute?!  Lisa did an amazing job.  Here is what I came up with:

I chose one of my favorite WS, Jade, for my card and colored her up with Copics.  She is part of the Roll Call kit.  I colored her up in pinks and black, added a sparkly butterfly to her top for added fun.

I picked some Japanese patterned papers (Wild Rose Studio), medium & small sparkly butterflies (MS punches) in black and turquoise.  The sentiment is from an O&A set called Little Dreamers

Are you ready to play?  All you have to do is upload your card or project to the TGF Galleria>FarmFreshChallenges2011>Monday Case Mystery> lisabeestampin.  I'd love to see what inspires you.  A reminder on the challenge details:

    • Use ANY TGF image
    • You can either case the card or use it as an inspiration
    • Upload project to the Galleria by Sunday, 12 pm CST
    • Winner will be randomly chosen to win a free single TGF image.
    • HAVE FUN!!
Did you know that TGF is having another CARDS FOR A CAUSE charity card campaign?   With the devastation in Japan just months ago, they have chosen the Students of Takasago, Japan as the 2011 CARDS FOR A CAUSE charity card drive recipients.  For all the details on how you can bring a smile to many of these children & their families as well as enter yourself into a contest, simply click HERE.

Mahalo for stopping by my friends.  Have a lovely Monday!

    FFF - Throwback Friday Challenge!

Happy Friday Friends!  It's time for FFF at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog

We are having a super fun challenge this week that requires you to break out your "old" TGF images (which let's face it...aren't that old, lol).  At the bottom of the post there is an "Exclusion List" which has the last several months worth of TGF releases on it.  Here's the deal:  You can use any TGF image(s) on your project BUT those stamps.  So dust off your very first TGF purchases and make them shine again :0)

Make sure to check out the fabulous DT "Throwback" samples on the challenge blog HERE

I was asked to make a wedding card for one of my co-worker's.  Her colors were brown and a reddish-orange color.  I found this tutorial on fancy fold cards on Kim Yu's blog a while back and thought if I could pull this off it would be the faciest card this couple was going to get.

For my images I chose Jeremy from the Roll Call Kit and WS Dressy Joyce (digi).

I altered Joyce, by giving her an up-do instead of her normal flowing hair.  The tiara is a sticker and behind her is a veil I cut up with some tulle.  Aren't they just the sweetest couple?

The papers were white cs, brown cs and this fabulous red & white patterned paper (Sorry I don't remember the brand).  I used Spellbinders Labels 7 for the sentiment (sorry don't remember where the stamp came from, but I know it's a clear stamp.)  I distressed the patterned paper to give it a fancy vintage feel.   Here is the finished card in all it's glory:

Here is a view from the top:
