Kim's card

Hello Blogging ohana! I've missed everyone so much, it's been very hard for me to get here to share lately. Been busy with work, family, projects and sleep. I don't see an end to the madness until January, but I will try to be more vigilant and try to either post or at least visit you. Right now, I have a couple cards to share. The theme for both is birthdays.
This first card was made for my co-worker Kim. Her birthday was last week Thursday and I was having a hard time choosing a stamp for her birthday. She's such a wonderful co-worker and I wanted to give her a card that would make her feel how wonderful she is. I was going through my dp when I came across this beautiful floral design. From there everything just fell into place. I chose to use a Sweet November stamp named Clover Greenfield. I also chose to use a stamp that would blend well with the paper from Inkadinkado. I altered Miss Clover slightly, coloring over her right ear and rounding out her left ear. I colored her up with light rose red and browns, then glittered her up. I have her sitting on a branch as if she is watching the two birds, which I told Kim represent her two beautiful daughters, in the corner. For the sentiment I went for one of the Greeting Farm sentiments, which I think worked out well. Mounted the whole scene on some white cs and then mounted that on brown cs which I made into the actual card. For the inside I cut out a small piece of the dp and wrote a small message for her. We all signed around the message with a white gel pen. I think she really liked the card, what do you think? I really enjoyed making this card, and getting to use the Sweet November stamp was a real treat for me. I have to make sure I use them more often. I have some ideas for them for Christmas and I think they would make lovely images for the projects I have in mind. Okay, next up I have a card for my other co-worker, Justin... Mahalo for stopping by!
